Bro I wanna give you a hug, I haven’t lagged not once after this video. For those that have doubts this is what I had to do. When you go in your fire wall, make sure to also make an outbound rule with those same ports listed in the video. So that’s 2 for inbound & 2 for outbound. The next thing I did was put windows 32 priority separator on 22. I’m running a 5900x cpu so I went into the game file & changed my video memory scale to 2.000000. For the render worker count I was playing around with it & found that taking the number all the way to the right & putting it to your max threads makes a huge difference. Ontop of that you have to find the best value for the actual render worker count. This handles how much of the cpu the game will utilize. for me I like 14. it’s the sweet spot. make sure that you have gpu acceleration turned off in windows. Make sure your internet adapter is optimized in device manager. make sure your bios settings are in order. make sure you have good ram & that it’s stable with xmp or your oc. And you should be good.

when you do outband rules do you set them as 'allowed' or 'blocked' cuz they are set to 'blocked' by deafult

I didn't have the Priority and Vlan setting in my network adapters settings. Other than that I did everything else. It may have reduced the packet burst slightly but they still exist. Thanks for the info.

@Last Error Fixer so you just do the port fowarding on the firewall. do you have to shut off upnp or port forward on the router as well, and finally is doing this only on the computer as shown here and not on the router, is it a security risk or it is safe? I think what your doing is basically opening the nat type and port fowarding.

Its a server issue 100% so there is nothing you can do to fix it, just maybe make it a hair better is all you can manage. You can thank Activision and their greed.

I think the cmd prompt for flashing IP cache and lower down the texture steaming seems to work the best for me! You could also tell if this work is that the battle pass wont bring you back to the main menu after you used up 1 token.

Did most of the steps and it helped with the issue a bit however I’m convinced it is a server problem and not on our end. My internet is fine and can play other games with no issues maybe they will come out with a fix soon :/

I dont play with ethernet, but for any other cod ive never had this problem, ecven with warzone. Im with you on this probably being a server issue considering it also just started happening with warzone for other peopole (havent tryed it since mw3 came out). Pretty sure they just migrated warzone servers to mw3 servers sooooo

That Norton stuff instantly fixed my pc , had a fresh build and didn’t even noticed it download through the Msi center app. My games felt super laggy , cod constantly packet bursting , removing Norton solved all my issues 👍🏽👍🏽

Changing all these settings fixed my problem thanks so much, there was still a couple buffers so I then changed my DLSS to Sharpening rather than the other options and it fully got rid of all the lag, give it a try ! Especially changing it to sharpening !

So MW3 Multiplayer and Wazone play just fine. Low latency, no packet burst or packet loss. But in zombies I can maybe get 60 seconds of supper lag before I crash. I have tried on my lenovo legion 9i with a 14900hx and 4090m. I have tied on my custom desktop, 9900k and 2080ti FE, and on my ROG Ally. I crash within like 60 seconds on zombies. I play on PS5 no issues at all. I can even use the PSRemote app and stream zombies over wifi and play just fine. Any thoughts?

For those with packet burst at the beginning of each game, I switched my game to my SSD by copying the game files and then switching the battlenet install path. That worked for me.

Haven’t tried yet but wanted to say that one thing seems to be high CPU utilization rather than Gpu..GPUs used to run around 85 Celsius..but now around 75…CPU runs hot around 90 and throttles when in turbo mode…even tried repasting the cpu with Liquid Metal but hasn’t changed anything. Can still play with great video in silent mode and cpu doesn’t overheat (strange but works). Will wait a bit for game to fix. If not fixed soon will try these steps.

i have the same issue but it's only in zombies, my cpu will run at a constant 100% when in the game im unsure why this is the only game that i've had this issue with Multiplayer runs smooth as butter. i have a i7-9700k which is way more than is needed to run this game.

@@Super_Burrito If turbo boost is on, it will run at 100%. Thats what it does. Now there are things that can manage that, they are in your bios. They can have a couple names, like intel speed step, some people believe it can hurt gaming performance. Try turning them off and anything that is related to energy saving. I have the same processor. I have turbo on and the intel stuff off.

90 degress isnt overheating. Not even 100 degrees is considered overheating. You have to be going over 110 degrees. Heat isnt throttling you at those numbers, its something else causing your issue. Check your bios, turn off things that say intel speed step, it can have a few names. They are like energy saving but can hurt gaming performance. Games are not all equal, one may work and another may not. Usually down to poor coding but the user in most cases has to fix things on their end. Games fault but there are a lot of things that wont ever get fixed in pc gaming.

Tried all of these and more, i know its bad when in menu i get 5-40 fps, I will get 5-150 fps dropping every second with packet burst constantly flashing no matter what in mp, campaign i get 200 fps, bf2042 i get 200 fps no lag, seems to be server side, I just left them a ticket, lets see what they say
