Fixing the Mercury Rise IntruBuster/Pistelle X-68: At least for now . . .

Mercury Rise contacted me after I uploaded this video letting me know that they had posted a video of how to fix it with the new o-ring and that they were good with sending me the replacement stuff if I watch their video and felt comfortable doing it myself. I told them since I'd already fixed it myself I felt pretty comfortable doing it again with the correct parts so send them on 😂 They also clarified that they are the manufacturers of all of the pistols that's why they sell both brandings. And they also verified that both versions are made in the exact same factory One is not made in one country and one in another everything is made in Taiwan by Mercury Rise.

Thanks for the video. Mine has been working fine but today I took it apart and oiled up the orings. It was mostly covered in grease but the 21 closest to the cap was dry.

Update the dam thing blow out the barrel after the 3rd shot back to the drawing board, MCS is sending me a replacement O-ring and they said there working on an O-ring kit for it should be on there site in about 2 weeks, BTW how's yours holding up

But unfortunately it didn't last but about saving shots the first time cuz I didn't actually change the o-rings. Then I got impatient and just fixed it myself tonight on a new video.

I wouldn't hold your breath for Mercury rise to honor the warranty. I contacted them about failed o-rings and the black bolt cap stripped after a few times screwing it in and out, And they completely ignored me after the initial email.

@@publiuszero79 Well FSCs are extremely reliable. But you do have to modify them yourself out of the box They're nowhere near what they need to be but the time you buy all the parts that you need if you do it right and you can even find everything then you're going to have more money in one of them than one of these. However at the point right now until we know for sure that whatever the fix they're sending is with the o-ring I don't know what the reliability on these are going to be

This launcher is built different than like umarex hdp50, hdr50 etc, hopefully u it gets easier to find right I ring replacement sizes, I wouldn't spend much money on this, I'll wat untill they have gen 2 with fixed issues, air lunchers are to much maintenance to deal with, firearms way easier to maintain.

@DK-Spencer right I have 6 50 cals so far, 2 hdp50 compacts, 2 streetwise heats, a torpedo revolver by mercury and umarex hdr50 13j gen 2, I hear different stories on rather to use pel gun oil or silicone oil, some say silicone gets to rancid and some say detergents are bad, pel gun oil cleans dirt that's left over and helps moving metal parts while silicone don't protect metals, thats other issues to deal with not knowing the best oils to use.

Not sure though, But that's the way I understand it

@@scottsymonds1950 When mine started to go. He started having like a little bit of a leak of air as soon as you pierced it but then it would catch. Then after a couple more times it wouldn't catch it all and it just leaked which you see that in the video I posted That was the first time it completely didn't work at all. But the couple of times before I made that video it sounded like it was going to leak but then was fine
