That sounds nice, although I'm not really a lover of ginger, I absolutely love cinnamon. It's great to experiment!

A tip when using syrup is to have some really hot water in a cup.. Dip the spoon in it before loading it with syrup and you will find the syrup just slides off the spoon. Repeat for as a many spoonfuls you require. Hope this helps

I loved mint custard when I was at school! Many years ago I saw it and bought some, but I've never seen it since.

Hi Maria, your flapjack looked lovely, i think i would add sultana and cherries to it. I got some square foil containers for my air fryer, i got the 8 inch, also you can re-use them. I've made a toad in the hole, a big Yorkshire pudding and other things in them, I'm still on the first one, i just keep washing it out. I made a lemon meringue pie the other day in it. It turned out well but the next day the pastry went a bit soggy so i was a bit disappointed. Just a tip when you are using treacle, i heat the spoon up first so when you put the treacle on the spoon it should just fall off

The comment I've made was meant for you. I put it in the wrong place! 😂

Hi, hope you are well. Made this flapjack AGAIN! This is a family favourite now, but this time, I used honey instead of treacle, & put raspberries in, did it in a sq tin, delicious xx thank you so much. Greetings from Sheffield

The honey and raspberries sound delicious! Flapjack is the one thing everyone eats in my house. Normally one likes one thing and another likes something else, but they'll all eat flapjack. I'll have to have a go with the honey and raspberries. 😊

I've been looking for some small foil trays in the pound shop. I've found some individual portions which I thought would be great for batch cooking and freezing as they have lids with them. You have done some good things in your airfryer I was thinking of having a go with lemon meringue, I love lemon desserts. I've found when I've done lemon meringue in the oven, the next day it goes a bit soft underneath, I think the lemon goes a bit runny when it's been overnight in the fridge and it makes it soft.

That's good to know, i was going to make it in the oven next time to see if it made a difference

It looks lovely. Do you think honey would work if you don’t have syrup.

I don't really know. It's worth trying. If you do have a go let me know how it turns out 😊

I Googled it Maria and it said you can. It’s just we never eat Syrup, so I don’t buy it although we do have runny honey.

If you’d left it to cool before cutting it shouldn’t crumble
