We have a serious issue with the amount of sugar we eat every day, and the foods at the grocery store are not helping! Walk around the middle aisle of any grocery store and the food items are not only loaded with sugar, but they also have lots of fat and carbs, and that's a scary combination. So in this grocery review video, I am showing you the foods with the most sugar, telling you why you should stop eating them, and most importantly, what you can replace them with. Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

It is so true that the body adapts. If you eat sugary foods, the healthier one's taste bland. If you eat healthier foods the sugary one's taste too sweet.

Me and my son have fatty liver and Diabetes. It's SO IMPORTANT that you have taken the time to show us the ingredients, the groceries, the no-nos, the healthy ingredients to watch for that will save our lives and illnesses due to fast food marketing that are killing us. We for so many years have been behind closed doors about what you are educating all of us and TO Stop ignoring things and ingredients that are damaging our organs. Doctors prescribe meds to help but we can REVERSE our symptoms and diabetes, cancer etc . We have never been taught NUTRITION in school, referrals by our physicians to take nutrition classes to avoid obesity. So many have died of COVID-19 because of Obesity. Blessings to you and staff for your outstanding leadership to help us. 🧐🧐

What you are sacrificing each time you show us where to shop economically , to view contents, etc. Is educating us to Live and change our diseases so we may LIVE longer and healthy. I was born during the war and all food we ate was different than what is now on shelves. Doctors should ALWAYS recommend us to a nutritionist THEN prescribe meds til diabetes, fatty liver, kidneys symptoms are reversed. We have been walking helpless not knowing and not aware of your time as a teacher to open our eyes NOW that there is a way. I gained 50 lbs last year and lost 55 lbs this year. Thank you. Bless you and keep helping America. 🙏🤔🎉♥️♥️♥️♥️

Phantom Warrior Yea man. I’m on an ultra high unrefined whole food complex carbohydrate diet (WFPB but more carb focused), and the more carbs you consume the leaner you get, pretty wild. Definitely don’t abandon any carbs and in fact consume more. Low carb, keto, Atkins, carnivore etc. are scam diets not backed by research and scientific consensus. Your brain runs almost primarily on glycogen from carbohydrates. In ketosis, fat can be turned into glycogen, but that is it’s starvation mode, and it’s a dramatically reduced rate. Not only that but it’s tough on your adrenal glands, not to mention you’ll be eating a ton of cholesterol, saturated fat, and things that will worsen your health.

I'm on Weight Watchers and rather than loading up on fat-free cheeses and sugar-substitute desserts (which WW seems to encourage and is really my one beef with their programs), I'm focusing on less quantity of real deal food. I'm having a harder time with cravings than the people who are doing the substitutes, but I'm hopeful that in the long run, even if I don't lose weight, I'll be healthier.

HI this is the reply I got back from Zevia when I asked them about natural flavors.Zevia has always listed “natural flavors” in ingredient panels. Because of proprietary reasons, we cannot list all the flavors we put in our sodas. Our “Natural Flavors” are all plant-derived. Examples of components in our natural flavors are citrus oils, cherry essence, cassia oil, wintergreen, and other flavor compounds unique to each flavor (eg, Caffeine Free Hibiscus Passionfruit). We don’t disclose a laundry list of our natural flavors. Our entire strategy revolves around using plant-derived ingredients, and creating a ‘smarter choice’ than the mainstream products. The term “Natural” is a highly sensitive term in the food and beverage industry, as there no regulatory framework for calling a product ‘natural’, we avoid calling our product ‘natural’. The term “Natural Flavors” is an exception, given that it has regulatory framework. For example, that cannot use ‘artificial flavors’ and call them ‘natural flavors’. We can absolutely confirm that there is no MSG, dairy, egg, soy, wheat, peanut, tree nut, fish, shell fish in any Zevia product. All Zevia beverages are Gluten Free, and Vegan, as well as non-GMO Project verified and Kosher. However, we take great care in choosing ingredients that are the smartest choice for all of our consumers, especially those who have special diets and food allergies. If there is an ingredient you are trying to avoid, we are able to confirm whether or not these beverages will be right for you. Just let us know.

I've contacted a few companies now, too, that have great ingredients overall, except for the dreaded "natural flavors." I think the regulations are a big part of why that goes on the label rather than "vanilla" or "citrus oils" or what have you. Contacting companies takes time, but I do appreciate when they respond and help clarify - for good or for bad! I hope since more people are trying to avoid "natural flavors," that the industry, or at least individual companies, will work to be more transparent in those ingredients.

If you don’t want your child to get addicted to sugar or something else that will make them ill, don’t give it to them. My mom was pressuring me to give to my 8 mo old baby yogurt, I said “NO” plain yogurt will do it, and my baby happily eats plain with added organic fruits, which is the natural sweetness and goodness:))) thanks for cereal update, will switch from grape-nut, which I switched to while was pregnant with my lil food monster, thanks to you Bobby:)

The only issue I have with Zevia is that they come in aluminum cans which leaches into the soda, I have seen glass bottles online but they are hard to find and have only seen the ginger ale flavor for that. I wish when a company is going to give healthier options they would go all the way with it, especially with their premium prices tagged on.

Just wondering where the information for the sugar killing live and active cultures is coming from. From my understanding it’s when companies heat treat it after adding the live and active cultures does this kill the live and active cultures, but if they heat treat, then add the cultures then it’s good to go. Not that I’m a fan of added sugars, especially in my beloved yogurt, but I’m just checking! “If you see the words heat-treated, steer clear. That signals that the live and active bacteria that help replenish bacteria in the digestive tract have been killed.”-everyday health. I’ve looked into other places and articles and even asked a relative who went to school for dairy manufacturing and said that only if it’s heat treated, but sugar shouldn’t solely kill the live and active cultures. Anyone have more info that I’m missing?

Yea, I was wondering the same thing. Until he said it, I had never heard that adding sugar kills all the live and active cultures. Don’t the bacteria feed on sugar anyways ?
@mrmustangman
@mrmustangman 3 жыл бұрын
check labels for the phrase “live and active cultures" but some yogurts may have live cultures and not carry the seal. parade.com/1043590/ericasweeney/best-probiotic-foods/ i think the jury is still out on sugar vs. probiotics.... (Sugars present in certain yogurt products and other probiotic-containing foods apparently do not interfere with the digestive processes of good bacteria in lower parts of the small intestine, according to USProbiotics.org.) also (American Society of Microbiology reports that the ability of certain probiotic strains to survive passage through the intestinal tract is enhanced by the addition of sugars during food production that are easily metabolized in the human gut.) and/or (Probioticsadvice.org reports that sugar can lower the potency of the probiotics contained in your yogurt.) but also keep in mind.... "Yogurt Has Less Probiotic Diversity than Probiotic Supplements" Yogurt is great for getting bifidobacterium or lactobacillus probiotic strains into your diet. Both of these probiotics have great health benefits, but probiotic supplements have a much wider range of probiotic strains. In general, most servings of yogurt are going to contain a lot less probiotics than the majority of probiotic supplements on the market. With yogurt, you can reliably expect to get somewhere in the millions of probiotic cultures. While that may sound like a lot, an effective dose of probiotics is more likely to be in the billions. Probiotics need to make it to the intestines for you to be able to enjoy their health benefits. That means they need to survive the journey through the stomach and its acid, which kills probiotics if they come in contact with each other. High-quality probiotic supplements have an almost guaranteed delivery method: enteric-coated capsules. Enteric-coated capsules protect probiotics until they get to the intestines, where the capsules are digested and the probiotics are released.

I broke my processed food and processed sugar addiction eleven years ago! This is not easy to do, but it is definitely possible. You must remove ALL the foods out of your house that you have committed to cutting out of your life. If you going to quit for good you are also going to be ready to say NO! When your friends and family attempt to Sabotage your progress. After about three years of making the change, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, I would never return the the life of sugar and processed food addiction. Trust the PROCESS of transformation! You will feel so much better and so much more energy.

So after mths of buying extra as a single mom at every week food haul, I come across this channel.. trying to get over the shock and STOP crying because I have harmed myself and children. I am literally sitting on tubs of food because I went through the loss of a job and gas is 6.79 here.. I then go through some videos of Bobby and went back to the store. What I paid in a mth I payed in a week trying to get us foods to restart this journey. I need to retrain my BRAIN to stop looking for sales , the best visual is the spoon full of sugar as I look at every item now.. 1 thing I cannot applaud bobby for is him opening up items and eating them with his daughter and by himself before he pays for them.. I have had to stop LETTING my children watch with me because I have trained them that even popping a grape in there mouth as the bag is in our cart is stealing.. may this journey be what is needed to push reset and lead my family well!

Man I am only 20 and i just started noticing the way too much sugar has been effecting my body and i feel like my eyes are open now. Growing up, the pantry was filled with sugary processed candies pastrys etc. My entire family is heavily Obese and nearly all of them are diabetic or pre diabetic. My grandparents died from diabetes after getting both of their legs amputated. Since my teens I’ve been dealing with headaches, acne, anxiety, dehydration. Lately ive been getting more into fitness and tracking what i eat and i started noticing that the days I have anxiety and hand tremors are the days my sugar intake was off the charts 😅 well at least I know this now and not later. Dang tho, I cant believe this is such a big issue that no body talks about. The average ammount of sugar i have been eating daily has been at least 88grams which is insane. I just didnt even know. Im gonna start paying wayyy more attention now
