Let's walk through the grocery store and pick out some of the best foods to eat to lower your cholesterol and explain why. I also want to show you which foods raise cholesterol and how to avoid them. It's really important to know which low cholesterol foods are the most nutrient dense and non-inflammatory at the grocery store, and that's why I made this video. Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

Thank you! My doctor failed to tell me two years ago that my cholesterol was high. I have been telling him the hold time that i am not eating much and my belly keeps growing and i have told him i feel like i have toxins.. being a woman is tough because they see you getting closer to 50 and it all hormonal to them Even though the hormone levels are NORMAL actually better than normal. I even have mild calcification in my aorta found out through a ctscan of the abdomen because i have unexplained bladder pain . In my opinion it is exactly what you say INFORMATION. Severe inflammation can also trigger autoimmune disorders i have also gotten really sensitive to so many things allergic to stuff i was never allergic even the a sun rash! And never mind pain all over. Thank you for the video

I’m very active, workout 3-6 days, eat mostly organic, very little meat but by cholesterol is almost 300; fighting genetics. @@acke26 This person should be on statins or make drastic lifestyle and dietary changes. With those levels you either have a genetic predisposition or your diet is causing the problem. High fiber diets do not cause raised cholesterol, low fiber, low carb diets do.

@@mosfet500 - thanks for your reply. Yes you're right, the LCHF-diet is lower in fiber than a well-balanced diet with carbs. That's mainly the reason for the increasing cholesterol. I ate tons of sallads during my test period with the LCHF-diet, but it can't be compared with the amount of fiber pasta, rice and potatoes contains. With a balance diet with carbs my cholesterol levels are significantly lower. Total: 5 - 5,5 mmol/ L = ap 200 mg/dl LDL: 3,5 mmol/ L = ap 130 mg/dl

I am here as a testimony to the dated information that we have have all grown up with and the fact that it is just incorrect. I grew up believing meat and eggs were the problem. As someone diagnosed with extremely high cholesterol (over 500!) at the age of 31, I went on a search for accurate information and so thankful to find you. I switched my diet from simple gmo based carbs to an organic keto lifestyle and couldn't be happier or healthier. I eat my own free range non-gmo eggs (from my own property) every day, grassfed/grass finished meats and dairy, extremely limited complex gluten free carbs and my cholesterol is in "normal" range! The inflammation in my body (and primary cause of my cholesterol issues) is gone, pre-diabetes is gone, brain has no more fog, I sleep better oh and I lost 88 lbs in 9 months. Education is SO important and so is what you are doing on this platform. Thank you for the time that you put into this platform.

He says just avoid carbs and sugar completely and very soon the cholesterol should get better. He also says don’t panic seeing those numbers. Add lots of fats to ur diet like coconut oil ,ghee and butter to ur veggies is what he said and lots of eggs with yolks.

@@ldi1451 I'm sorry, but you're just wrong. Your lipids are NOT cholesterol numbers, and there's no evidence that cholesterol CAUSES any problems. It's like saying firemen cause homes to burn down. Also, it's ignorant to say that eating foods low in cholesterol bring your cholesterol down. Your body makes most of the cholesterol in it, and it will make more if you eat less. What's DANGEROUS is peddling dietary information that will cause people to eat more of what actually IS a problem: carbs.

I would definitely stop the Raisin Bran, look Up gmos and cereal. I would switch to oats or an organic cereal if they make one, to avoid pesticides/gmos.

I'm in my late 40's and going through womanly changes 🙄😂 and my recent doctor appt said my cholesterol was a bit high 😏 😫 I have a family history of cholesterol! I eat oatmeal but I usually do overnight oats and I went from whole milk to oatmilk or Almond milk but I like mine a lil sweet and I was putting in a lil maple syrup but now I guess I'm going to have to leave that out 😂 and I guess use bananas strawberries or something? 😆 I do exercise 3 to 4 times per week. I'm doing my best to eat right but dang some of the goods stuff is just so dang expensive 🥴😔😳 thanks for this info it will help me out a lot!! 😊

Fear of cholesterol is bullshit. You need cholesterol, and your body produces the vast majority of it, not your food. They don't even measure cholesterol when they claim they do. They measure lipoproteins. The real enemy is cardiovascular inflammation, caused by glycation. What you really want to be concerned about are your blood hemoglobin A1c, your carotid artery thickness, and your coronary artery calcium score. Respond to these with a low carb, healthy fat diet, moderate cardiovascular exercise (moving around) and resistance training (pick stuff up and move it around.) Avoid sugars (and sugar substitutes), grains and starches. Avoid "vegetable oils" that come from seeds (which is basically all of them except olive oil, avocado oil and coconut oil.) Oats are a grain. Your body turns them into sugar. Avoid them. In fact, skip breakfast altogether to bring your blood sugar down. Beans have starches. It's best to avoid bean products. Your body turns them into sugar. All yogurt-all dairy products-have sugar. Lactose, is milk sugar. It is composed of glucose and galactose, both sugar. They also have casein, which is inflammatory. The kind of casein from grain-fed cows is the worst, so try to avoid grain-fed cow's milk products. Saturated fat, by the way, is good for you. There is ZERO science behind saturated fat being bad for you. So getting fat from healthy animals is healthy. This means organic, grass-fed meats and oils are good for you. So glad other people are calling out the cholesterol bullshit and the "healthy grains" too!

@@sheldonmurphy6031 Best wishes. There are good youtubers for this kind of info, including flav city, Dr Eric Berg DC, Dr Shawn Baker MD, Jason Fung (MD) and especially Dr. Sten Ekberg. I really like Dr Ekberg because he goes in depth and uses good presentation skills. PS: Dr Jason Fung also has written some really good books on diabetes, insulin resistance and fasting. I have four of this audiobooks. Specifically about cholesterol, you may want to search here for Dr David Diamond. He's done really good presentations, and I think Dr Ken Berry has addressed the topic too. All of the above are into eating "real food" for health, and not necessarily "plant based." If you choose to appease your doctor, you may be interested in the Cholesterol Code, Dave Feldman and the Feldman protocol.

When staying away from sugar to reduce inflamation, are other sweeteners ok? I use coconut sugar, local raw honey, organic maple syrup, and a monkfruit/ erythritol blend- depending on what I'm making. Asking because my dr wants to see my bad cholesterol go down and my good cholesterol go up in the next 3 months but I love sweetener in my coffee!

High cholesterol is usually genetic. If one or both your parents had it, you probably will, too. Women get it post menopause so frequently because we no longer have estrogen to protect us. Diet doesn’t usually lower it enough, hence the need for statins.

@@enigmatistic8470 That's a good point, but I happen to be in the camp that whole plant foods are still the cheapest by far. My food is from Walmart. I'm looking at $75 a month. Oatmeal per calorie, generic brand, which some say and I believe is the exact same food as name brands, is very low price per calorie. That's one example, and I eat the vast majority of my calories from whole wheat, including whole wheat flour and whole wheat pasta. Granted, 'whole' is also subjective in that grain is ground up to a powder essential, but it's allowed under whole food-plant based diets, which I have been doing. Adding the canned black beans to my pasta, which is $0.58 a can, and eating lots of raw spinach daily (goal is 5 ounces), rounds out all necessary nutrients. I can add the oatmeal on occasion. So all that is fairly cheap. Sure, the spinach is the most expensive part of course, but the most nutritious, some feel. The statement was made by Michael Greger that dark, leafy greens are the single best food to eat in the diet, but it also has the key nutrients A, C and K and all the phytonutrients that are helpful. I'm looking at $75 a month and that with a lot of tea daily, too, plus cayenne pepper, salt and sugar, which are allowed in moderate amounts on whole food-plant based-also extremely cheap. Best wishes

How about making and selling a pamphlet with recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner to help lower your bad cholesterol. Easy peasy for you if you just have Amazon produce it as people order. You can get an entire series of soft cover type books like this with different conditions like what to eat to help prevent heart disease. After you make millions on these I’ll tell you where to send my cut of the profits, ha ha.
