With all respect to his age, sounds to me like this is another gospel what I am hearing here, I do not know what Bible has read this brother, but he said that you can not be free from sin? because in the Bible , Paul said in Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Matthew 1:21 "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins". Ephesians 5:25-27 " Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth. I understand that we need to come to Jesus as we are, sinners, but as we read the Bible and beleive what God and jesus said and we obey, we will be cleansed, santified and free from sin. I know that the only one that wants to see us living in sin is the devil, so we can loss our place in Heaven, so....My advise: pray, read the Bible, beleive in our Redeamer and Savior Jesus and because we belive and love Jesus for what he did for us on the cross and is doing in heaven, I will obey him and follow his steps, and I will be free from sin, that is the power of the Gospel. Thank you for your talks I am not in a member of the SDA Church. And while at first when I started attending all seemed well but then I begin to hear things that did not sound right to me at all having been a Christian since I was 15 baptized at 16 went to Bible college when I finished high school and have been devoted, Bible student, a lover of garden of his word, all these years having been through many situations in life though I have been unpleasant here God has been faithful to me. But here I am now wondering if I made the right move to begin to get involved in the SDA Church because of the very things that you were here in talks and these two videos that I have watched and what you’re saying is always confusing to me because everything that the SDA Church‘s has been trying to force down into the side of my brain and my resistance to it and yet here you are saying the very same things that I’ve been thinking for truths and I’m not being taught in my church. So my parents will not go over till me truth I would see his guidance in my life where I should be what kind of church I should be belong to and I love all the people there so much and yet I just cannot swallow the things that have been said. But Year talks here give me some hope and caused to stop and ponder further what is actually happening I’ve been thinking that I would need to find a different church but you’ll give me hope that there might be some changes in the Doctrinal position that the SDA Church is taking. Well, at least that seems to be so by what you’re saying, however that’s not what’s being said at the church that I attend. Still seeking God’s guidance and wisdom for my life and where he wants me to be I am a church musician since I’ve been 23 and I am now 84, so I’ve been in this kind of service to the Lord for many years and I am still doing that. Any kind of advice or suggestions that you might have that you could pass on to me would be much appreciated

Many have a mistaken understanding. Des never left the SDA church. His membership remained at the PUC campus church until his retirement in 2000. He removed his name when he returned to Australia knowing that it would stir controversy there. He attended churches all over the world whenever invited. He was not opposed to the SDA church. he was only opposed to teachings that were not founded upon solid biblical exegesis. He loved the SDA Doctrines that were biblically based. Some wanted him to start a church outside of Adventism in the early 1980s. He refused to do this. it created a split in the ministry of Good News Unlimited a ministry created for him to continue sharing the gospel to Adventists and non Adventists alike.

I couldn't believe he still wanted to be apart of that faith even after denying a core doctrine of it in the investigative judgement. I disagree with him that the adventist has "truth", but I'm glad he found the "everlasting" gospel. Not the 3 angles message

@@FlyingGentile the only force was to remove his credentials in 1980 after Glacier View. He was given a choice but they insisted on him condemning Robert Brinsmead publicly who Des knew to be a gospel believer teacher and preacher at the time. his refusal led to his dismissal from employment and him being demonized by name within the SDA church. He remained faithful to the true teachings and extended grace to those who slandered his name till the end.

At the heart of the theological disagreement between the Protestants and Catholics was the argument that Justification and Sanctification are inseparable. Ford seems to be on the Catholic side on this one. Yet he spent a bigger part of his life calling the Catholic Church the AntiChrist. Life is humorous.

your facts are wrong. both sides agreed the two are inseparable. the dispute was over whether they were to remain distinct from one another. Rome said no the reformers said yes. inseparable but distinct was the united stand of the Reformers. Rome included Sanctification in the doctrine of Justification and the Reformers said absolutely not. Also Des never called the Catholic Church antichrist. so you are wrong on both points.

no Des says there are serious problems with the historicist view. There is relevance to the church in all ages but to think Revelation was unfolding in such a way as to be proven to coincide with certain historical events is to miss the real purpose of the book. the historicist view would have prevented the return of Christ in the first century because it predicts events in some future date. this is rejected by most scholars on the book of Revelation. The book was not written for the purpose supposed by the historicist view.

Like legal can be a wholesome idea by which God acts legally and justly but when you put the ism on legal it deteriorates the good into something bad. So Des saw it as past present and future in application.

@@thenowchurch6419 i appreciate the effort to provide the quote brother. the problem is your (or most likely the websites you visit) predetermined conclusion led you to make the mistake many athiests do when they approach the word of God. they feel there is no God or think to discredit His character and so make many mistakes with their interpretation. likewise anti ellen white sentiment blinds the reader to the correct interpretation of her writings and even skew their understanding of the bible. there is nothing wrong with her saying some of the company WILL be on the earth when Jesus comes and will remain through the trials of the last time. this is because some will be resurrected before the actual coming of Christ in a special resurrection. Daniel 12:1-2 KJV [1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. [2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. some believers will be resurrected and some enemies will be resurrected during the great tribulation. note who also will be alive at the coming of Christ... true and many think in terms of one replacing another. i think the new is based on the Abrahamic where God promises to accomplish it. Paul argues that the one through Moshe 400 years later did not nullify the former and Jesus said not one jot or title in anyway shall pass till all is fulfilled. Jesus fulfilled the Mosaic covenant by being made under the Law and he did what Israel promised on Mt Sinai when they said, "all that Thou hast said we will do" even though in the case of the repetition in Deuteronomy 5:29 God says, "Oh that they would have such a heart in them, that they would fear me and keep all My commandments always..." yet Jesus did and the covenant was always named as the everlasting covenant. The Pentecost outpouring happened upon the feast celebration of the giving of the Covenant to Moses on Mt Sinai. and it was the avenue to write the law no longer on tablets of stone but on the flesh of the heart. So the new goes back to the Abrahamic where God promises rather than at Sinai where Israel promises. Jesus fulfills both and they are better promises because he kept them to the point of death and the spirit being poured out testifies to the covenant being fulfilled. this shows that the everlasting covenant is not changed in anyway. God accomplishes what he promised through the promised seed and the blessing for covenant keepers are poured out upon believers in Him. so yes the gospel is the good news God is faithful and he has blessed the nations through Israel.
