Rock on, gold dust woman
Take your silver spoon, dig your grave
Heartless challenge
Pick your path and I'll pray
Wake up in the mornin'
See your sunrise, loves go down
Lousy lovers pick their prey
But they never cry out loud, cry out
Ooh, did she make you cry, make you break down
Shatter your illusions of love?
And is it over now, do you know how?
Pick up the pieces and go home
Rock on ancient queen
Follow those who pale in your shadow
Rulers make bad lovers
You better put your kingdom up for sale, up for sale
Ooh, did she make you cry, make you break down
Shatter your illusions of love?
And is it over now, do you know how?
Pickup the pieces and go home
Well did she make you cry, make you break down
Shatter your illusions of love?
And now tell me, is it over now, do you know how?
Pickup the pieces and go home, go home, go home
Hey, shadow of woman, black widow
Hey, shadow of woman, dark woman
Hmm, pale shadow of woman
Hmm, black widow
Pale shadow whose dark eyes glow
Dark woman

The irony of drugs is that something so awful and destructive has been the muse for so much amazing music. I'm glad Stevie Nicks is still with us. I miss Christine McVie. May she R.I.P.

I don't think this one is about drugs. It's from an album pretty much centered on the romantic couplings and breakups inside the band.

I had the opportunity to take my daughter to see Stevie 10/1/23 at MSG where she first introduced Stevie Barbie. Yes we dressed up. A lot of people did! Lots of moms and daughters. My heart was sooo full to share this with not only my daughter, but with total, beautiful strangers. My daughter (25) was getting anxious about not hearing Landslide. Stevie saved it for last. My baby girl wrapped me in her arms and mine around her and we sang along, with EVERYONE there. It was magical. ❤

My daughter asked if she could borrow 1 of a 2 disk for her car to listen to. Of course I said yes, but when you are done with it however long she wanted to listen to it. I've stopped looking for that disk. I think it was still in the cd player of her car when she traded in the car. Oh well, I have to replace that. 😂

I so hope I have this opportunity with my daughter someday. We did this at home, watching the 24 Karat Gold tour during lockdown--full on shawls and twirls and everything! Seeing Stevie live with my baby girl is a bucket list item for me! I wanted to name her Rhiannon but my ex shot it down, lol. My daughter tells me that when I am gone one day (hopefully a long time from now) my Stevie and Fleetwood Mac records will comfort her when she misses me😭

As a musician i have always considered musicians of this ilk somewhat superhuman..having started both my life and musical journey in the ‘60’s, it has never ceased to amaze me that people are completely out of their trees, and they still do what they do brilliantly..as a mere mortal observing these musical gods, kudos, and more power to them.
