I used to think Clapton was the greatest thing to walk the earth until I started listening to early Fleetwood Mac recordings. Peter Green is definitely a model guitarist. For me it used to be about how many notes a guitarist could fit in a phrase, but it's become more and more about the story and emotion told by the few notes a guitarist plays. Green tells a better story than any other guitarist I've heard....not to mention his voice. Not to often you see two talents like that in one musician.

Why is that so many Gibson Les Paul guitar players point to Peter Green as a titan of classic Les Paul tone? Sit back and listen.

If someone has footage of this performance I need it. This was their best go at this record. And Peter's voice and playing were perfect. This is the blues. And to think he was still really young to be doing this at that level lol. Long live Peter Green. 🤟🔥🤟

If there is any footage, it certainly would have posted here. It was 1969, no cellphones then, to my great regret!!

Very few beings could play with the raw emotional urgency that Peter had. Damn few and they were all black and they all dead. No doubt Peter is jamming with them now.

Rob van Unnik - Amsterdam kan je please vertellen hoe het was om Peter Green live te zien spelen?? Ik ben zo benieuwd!

I cannot think of another guitarist except Hendrix who could play with such intense emotion (and skill) as Peter Green.

Page and Beck. Though Page's playing suffered when heroin entered the picture. Shout out to Roy Buchanan as well.

Does any one remember whi the others were i think its Ainsley Dunbar on drums probally JM on bass ? I loved this when i first heard it as a 16 year old budding guitarst Definately a deft touch Clapton also displayed a more subtle side with Bernard Jenkins also with John Mayall but without bass or drums as i recall ?

This was the original 5 piece line-up with Mick Fleetwood on drums, John McVie on bass. and Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer and of course the great Peter Green.

Thank You so much Vanu for bringing this beautiful music of Peter Greens to those who cant get enough of this gifted Blues God. I found Greens Fleetwood Mac when at the age of 12 I found Then Play On at a 2nd hand store for 25 cents. I have devoured all the British Blues Icons , but there is so much Green material you have brought to light that I have never heard before (the live Bluesbreakers etc.) I cant tell you how grateful I am Vanu. Thank you so much bro.
