Excellent video, a life saver in starting up my Z21 WLANMAUS, as I couldn't figure out how to get it going at all: no WiFi, no Menu. Then, watching your video, I heard you mention just off-the-cuff that to activate the Menu, one needs to press it together with the Shift key: and that's something I did NOT find in the manual! Thank you very much - I'm on my way now!

The Roco (Austria) and Fleischmann (Germany) Companies are now owned by a new Mother Company Modellbahn Union Ltd. Their former first together digital System had been desighned by Roco in Austria and had been later addopted from Fleischmann, too, but it had one big problem, you could not read out CVs at all. Than the created the Z21 WiFi Family of Command Stations. The big Z21 comes in a black box. The both light Versions of the z21 Start and z21 coming into a white box. The light Versions inside the white boxes with small z21 Start and z21 are distributed to model railroad beginner sets only, but can be got by ,,slaughtered" beginner sets, where people used the tracks and rrains but not the command stations with the cablewired throttles of the red roco Multimouse or the grey Fleischmann Multimouse. Both cable wired Multimouses have same Elektronics inside but different coloured cover shells of the throttles. The black WiFi Z21 Multimouse is wireless and needs 3 AAA Batteries inside of it. Well the big problem of all of it, there is no consist address menu, but that comes from the tradition of the european customers and prototype railroads who do not often using multiple traction units by operating trains in general. Sure sometimes some double heading locos and more rarely a pusher loco in the rear. In most causes trains are operated with one loco, only. All of these throttles had the possibility to use several ways of consisting locos from their earliest days of creation of these throttles, of what the most costumers do not know. You cann make consists using CV 1 over one address and of course via using the consist address for advanced consists at CV 19. In the past, before the Z21 Family of command stations are created, the older cable wired digital system used an as master plugged Multimousse together with a small booster as command station, the master Multimouse may never done unplugged, because of lost programmed datas inside this command station arrangement. For driving trains another as slave plugged in Multimouses needed to be used in addition. Since the Z21 Family of Command Ststions had been created it is much more easier to handle and to program digital decoders inside locos or railcars. All CVs can be read out, what was before impossible. The max. Amperage to the track is by 3.2 Amps. The track voltage is up to 18 Volts. I do have the white z21 Start with cable wired grey Fleischmann Multimouse without the WIFI Package (sold separately and without again sold separately WiFi Connection Code). For myself it is well enough. Have some thanks very much to the Model Railroader Team for this excellent Video description about consisting locos. Regards, Ingo

Hi, thanks for a good video. My query is: when swopping between locos using the keys either side of the stop button, how to prevent the speed setting previously selected for loco A being assigned to loco B.
@arno_nuehm_14 жыл бұрын
That's a problem. There is no real solution you can just change to another loco (which is not on the track), change the speed wheel and then go to the target loco.

Many thanks for your reply. Your solution workswell, but maybe Roco should add a firmware update to dedicate speed settings to indvidual locos. I won't hold my breath.....

More interested in the MRC in the other video.

I have found that a foreign system like this will jack up a soundtraxx sound decoder. This doesnt look user friendly at all.
