Flex has it figured out. Definitely getting this now that my DeWalt is gone. The rack and pinion sold me way back with the DeWalt but I really like how Flex added more, smart, additions - and less cords is always a plus!

Both of these table saws look really nice! If I didn’t already have the Milwaukee m18 table saw, I would look to buy that 10” one. Bummer the 10” doesn’t come with the side extension like the 8-1/4”. Great video thank you!
@philwort18739 ай бұрын
Great video thanks. How would you say the power compares to the flexvolt saw. I got rid of the DeWalt as it was under powered when ripping 2x material and chewed batteries way quicker than I could charge them. I feel the AC adaptor could help with this
@yossiyaari37609 ай бұрын
The CutSense is a safety feature. Clearly it's minimizing exposure, and lessening the chance for kickback. So not at all comparable to SawStop AIM, but I would love to have that as a safety feature.
@fZionists785 ай бұрын
Nope. Not at all comparable. It’s superior by every measure…unless you can’t use a saw properly. …at which point you shouldn’t be using a saw.
@brianhall90199 ай бұрын
My guess is they have the same motors but the 8 1/4” has less blade to spin, thus when you were really pushing the 2x material it didn’t bog down like the 10”.

My guess is the 10” didn’t perform well cutting 4x material since it wasn’t shown?

It performs just fine. Other videos demonstrate it well.

And it has two table slots. Really wish my Dewalt FlexVolt had two slots. And there’s no AC adapter. And the riving knife etc are quite thin.

I saw the title and was really hoping “cutsense” was a sawstop type safety mechanism…

The 81/4 most probably appeared stronger because the 10 inch saw was tested with the cut sense feature turned on.

I'm interested in buying the 10" saw, but I can't seem to find it avertised on their site, or anywhere else, despite having seen it mentioned in a few reviews. Does anyone have a link to find it?

So they copied DeWalt's rack'n'pinion fence system pretty much 1:1, it even attaches to the rails the same way. In fact, the only things I see that are not a complete dewalt rip off are the LED strip in fence and the fold down extension table (which they copied off the Festool CSC SYS 50).
@Sgten019 ай бұрын
Only thing they havent copied is the power lol.

@@fZionists78 It's all about the position of the force. The force should be closer to the blade than the fence, that way the material is encouraged into the fence instead of into the back of the blade.
