ahh at 4:07 there is an unmentioned tip I just gleaned. You are about to wrap the dubbing starting at the tail, but you have the thread near the head, you then dub the thread. Next you take a "coarse" spiral jump to the tail. *** This helps take up the un dubbed thread very quickly! ** without build bulk at the tail ...since we often have bare thread near the shank when applying dubbing ;-)

Great observation. 😀😀. But another way is to dubb thread further away and just slide the dubbing up. 😀

Great tie, very fishy, congrats. I tie my Sexy Waltz with Sulky silver metallic and it holds up very well with multiple trout caught, might try that as a substitute.

Thanks a lot. I may try it if i come across of that material. I think i have used some of their dubbings, it was great
@sputnick664 жыл бұрын
@@Oholisfliesandfishing it's actually a metallic thread material. Don't know if you can get it where you are but you would find it in a fabric shop or online www.sulky.com/products/thread/metallics/

are you still using your phone for filming? because the shots are functionally better(framing and zoom level) than some peoples who are using dedicated cameras. FOr example when you spit the wings, it's very clear what you are doing with your thumb nail.

Still phone. I bought sony a6000 but kit lenses are not good for this kind of vodeos. Now i am struggling to find lense that will do a good job.
