It has been life changing for me. I look forward to it. It really takes 4-6 times before you get it. I had one today which is probably the best ever. I went to a different place. It was surreal. The most serenity space. Helps with my sleep and anxiety. Helps me mediate. I journal afterwards and it’s amazing to read back. Bizarre. But amazing

I work at a float spa on the weekends. It’s truly the single most beneficial activity that has saved me from my own mind. I’ve learned to think clearly with an open heart, about my life and experiences. My threshold for stress and anxiety is much more robust. And my favorite, it allows me to help individuals on the first float experience, and witness the change in their overall being after the float. Upside down frowns in 60 mins.

When I was under extreme stress at work, I LOVED floating. My work was loud and chaotic, and I'd float without light or music. I'd leave feeling like I'd had a massage and a great night's sleep. I changed jobs and my resting stress level decreased by about 90%. The first time I floated after starting my new lower stress job, it was still nice, but I got bored near the end, and didn't leave with the super relaxed feeling.

People don't realize how powerful their mind actually is, you have the power to do amazing things, the problem with myself is I have so much anxiety I cannot focus on anything long enough to achieve my success, I've been successful, ive created amazing things, but I'm struggling really hard right now because I'm simply distracted, I have my first float session booked this Saturday, unfortunately its a 2 hr drive, but if this thing is amazing im going to look at building or buying one, because you absolutely cannot put a price on your mental health, a healthy mind will produce wealth.

I myself had several failed spinal fusions and im In constant pain. Ive tried everything to take it away. This is the only thing that completely takes my pain away. Definitely give it a try.

My first time was awesome!!! I was stoked. I bought the monthly unlimited right after I got out. I went and told everyone I ran into, whether I knew them or not. I convinced one friend to go and I bought a gift certificate for another friend and his wife. The 2nd time (next day) was meh. Very disappointing. Had that been the first time I would have said "thanks, it was worth a try, but not for me." I'm going to keep up with the sessions, but I would suggest if anyone tries this, to get a 3 or 5 visit package. Use it every week or so. Don't just jump in and get an unlimited monthly package cuz you loved your first time.

Is there no value to the Epsom salt that is required to make you float? An Epsom salt bath and some meditation leaves people feeling more relaxed afterwards too but doesn't put $60+ into the economy each time... Is it just the floating feeling they are selling while we neglect the value of the transdermally absorbed Epsom salt that can be purchased for pennies? Is the "technology" of a tank of salt water what is so good for us or is it the silence in a crazy world of noise and distraction. You can't float like that in normal water so there is no way to test that part. Now for the twist... However the data goes, I absolutely love float tanks and think everyone should give them a try.

Girl are you slow? Nobody cares about the Epson salt is the feeling of weightlessness and deprivation of your senses that draw people to this.

Epsom salt isn't the cheapest either...if you would have to flush it down the drain each time
@tylergady20195 ай бұрын
There's like 800 pounds or more of Epsom salt in a float tank. Which is a lot of money, that you definitely wouldn't want to drain after one use. You're getting a lot of benefits from that much epsom salt

I did it once, and am about to do a second. I felt significantly more energized after the first one, which I attribute to absorbing so much magnesium. It's not the sensory deprivation, because that doesn't actually happen. It's a great therapeutic!

But the second time I would drift off into a dream state multiple times at one point it was strange like I would be thinking but then thinking in the dream And realize I’m Dreaming then come out of it. The second time was a lot faster than the first.

I tried it but felt quite claustrophobic at first. There was no way I wanted to pull the lid down completely that felt like being in a coffin. I guess everyone is different in this respect and largely it depends on your experience of dark spaces (if they were traumatic then likely you might struggle). However it is an interesting experience and the data certainly looks positive. I am sure it must vary with the quality of the facilities and the welcome as ours was slightly disinterested and in a business park.

@@doracrabtree8896 maybe it has something to do with the fact that when you are severely depressed you don’t even want to live! If someone tells you to exercise, for obvious reasons you’re not going to do it. Plus I have tried it - it DID NOT WORK!!! There are co-morbidities with other conditions that can make this harder or impossible for people to do. And if you are as good at your job as you claim (pulling the ‘I’m a professional card’) you would know that.
