People forget that Anemo MC is actually a good character. AMC’s main problem is just that the competition in the anemo family is really rough, with Sucrose, Kazuha and Venti being extremely strong if not broken and they have been the only other anemo characters together with Jean (healer with good damage) for a long time. As long as you don’t f up the burst, AMC is really strong at dealing with shields and the skill is actually extremely fun and satisfied to play, definitely an underrated option that comes really handy when you are a new players that doesn’t have a lot of anemo characters

If the tornado doesn't go through heavy enemies, act similar to Ayaka's burst. I'm sure the usage rate would be a lot higher.

@@Hin-yi6gw probably not. sucrose's abyss usage rates are consistently abysmal and she's widely regarded as a top notch unit so i don't think anything could save Anemo Traveler from the fact people just prefer to play their limited 5-star Anemos (mostly Kazuha)

Thanks to your guides I was finally able to 36-star the Abyss. Your tips on how to approach each chamber individually and the accessible characters you use were real eye openers for me! Melt Rosaria in particular is a surprisingly strong team comp that I wouldn't have found out otherwise, it's so strong that even though I 36-starred this rotation, which is being described as a harder one, my Rosaria still only have level 16 artifacts (I ran out of artifacts to use for leveling up) and a pretty poor 88% crit dmg value. I've already subscribed, and am really thankful for your guides. Keep up the good work man, you're doing a huge help for not only new players but also people like me whom have the resources they need but either don't realize it or haven't tried yet!

I loved the scale with timings in the beginning, it was so easy to grasp it that way and I was struggling with understanding of how much time I need to spend on the first half to be fine to clear another one. Puts a smile on my face whenever I see your guide with current abyss cycles, I'm an OG player, I could clear cycles pretty easily but I had friends who struggle and being an early player than them, I find it difficult to teach them the ropes since I have number of characters and well stat artifacts, so my advices might be not the efficient one for them. I have venti kazuha and sucrose, but the more advanced mechanic escaped me 😅 btw do you think you could make a guide on artifacts? like a general guide on choosing which artefact to keep/fodder, the considerations for continuing/stopping to level an artifact, and gearing up two teams when you don't have the optimal sets-or even when you don't have good enough artefacts for everyone despite ignoring the set. It feels like everyone in my account wants crit AND er substat... or maybe it's bc I'm playing ayaka, ei, xq, and xl 😂 I'm always confused who gets which piece first, too. I just think it may fit your target audience who still struggle with abyss and likely to be newer players. Anyway your guides rocks! :)

6:59 This is a just in case sort of tip, but you don't need to aim up to plunge with Alhaitham's skill. As long as it's the hold version of the skill you can plunge with it no matter where it's pointing. And it doesn't take a very long hold to trigger it, if done fast enough the crosshair won't even come up.

@@jyolikearock_ You can even aim straight down on the ground if you want to plunge on a specific enemy and he will instantly plunge and trigger his 3 mirror attack (i.e. you don't have to do a normal atk after the plunge to trigger the coordinated atk because the plunge itself will both provide the mirrors and trigger)

My teams for all chambers were: * 1st half :Nahida, Xingqiu, Beidou, Kuki - comfy, smooth and gives a lot of defensive utility for chamber 2 *2nd half: Childe, Kazuha, Xiangling, Bennett - honestly Kazuha did most of the work on chamber 1 and this team struggled with surviving chamber 2 and I had to retry it a few times, but then it did great on the last chamber

Wanting This Abyss' first half finally gave me the motivation to fully build my Thoma and Candace to try a Hypergeon team I thought of consisting of Yaoyao and Candace as the Bloom core, then both Thoma and Kuki as the triggers. The Burgeons:Hyperblooms ratio was too high since Kuki's skill pulses slower than Thoma's burst, so I switched her for EM Raiden to greater results.

If you can swing the units for it, SuKokoMon is great for the second half in all 3 chambers. You don't need perfect guoba swirls to pull it off, either. For first half, I really enjoyed Zhongli+Nahida Hyperbloom which carried all 3 chambers for me as well (Diona/Layla hyperfridge works decently well too). Honestly the first abyss I managed without resetting rooms.

It's unbelievable really. Sucrose and Chongyun are the only 1.0 units that aren't in the shop. Hoyo have a golden opportunity to add all pre-Inazuma units into the shop since right now it's 2 units per month times 6, if it was 3 units instead they could fit in Sucrose, Chongyun, Diona, Xinyan, Rosaria and Yanfei. But, I guess they see some monetary benefit in not updating the shop...

I do chamber two a bit differently. I think using sucrose ult is overkill on the whopperflowers unless you can successfully bring her ult back up for the abyss mages. Since I can’t, I save my ult for the abyss mages because the flowers just go down so damn easily anyway.

I'm using a raiden hyperbloom team (kokomi, nahida, beidou and raiden) on the first half, but i only managed to finish with 7:40 left. My raiden is lv 85 and 1050 em, nahida deepwood. Idk how to improve

You need more bloom seeds. Kokomi's hydro application is too slow on her own for your em raiden to do work, especially on single target half like this one. Edit: I clearly don't own a Kokomi I forgot she is a catalyst holder :)

You can try not using certain abilities (ex. Nahida Q, Beidou E and Q, Kokomi Q) on the first and third enemies and see if you have enough damage to defeat them and to also possibly save those abilities for the second and fourth ruin enemy. Kokomi being onfield more can help apply more hydro application with her normal attacks along her charged attacks.

As others have mentioned, I think you may be limited by your Hydro application here. You will either have to spend a lot of time attacking on-field with Kokomi, or find another Hydro applier to help keep up with Nahida's Dendro application. Do you have either Xingqiu or Yelan to replace Beidou with? Also, make sure you're re-applying Nahida's Skill on each Ruin machine that spawns, or else you have 0 Dendro application and will not generate any Dendro Cores. Lv85 / 1050 EM on Raiden should produce strong enough Hyperblooms, so I don't think that's an issue.

Thanks guys for the answers! I am doing on-field kokomi and for xingqiu, i use him for freeze on the second half and i don't have yelan. I think i just dont click fast enough and the enemy just spawn too long because of potato device and high ping. Thanks again for the solutions and I'll try using xingqiu.

Sorry I don’t mean to spam your comment section but I looked it up! It was ganyu banner. This was when I literally just started playing and pulled c1 ganyu to main her at the time. I’ve since mained alhaitham but my ganyu is now forever powerful and that makes me happy. I also got c6 sucrose out of it so a win :D.

1:14 Lol, 1st i was able to finish in luckiest case with baal national team within minute (most of the cases i end up with 8:45-50 left) I dont have much healers, and f.. up my bennett with c6, so now he is less useful in other teams :/

You have a few options, depending on how strong your Xingqiu is. The one I usually use is: - Xingqiu Burst - Bennett Skill + Burst - Sucrose S + B - Xiangling S + B - Xingqiu S (x2 if Sac proc) - [ Bennett S > swap quickly to Xiangling > Sucrose NA x3 ] repeat this until Xingqiu's Burst is back off of CD Throughout the rotation, try to weave in 1 Normal Attack before each Skill or Burst cast so you are constantly triggering Xingqiu's Burst, or else you won't get those big Vaporize hits on Xiangling's Burst. Here is a video demo of this rotation, with one mistake: I'm not Normal Attacking with Sucrose as I should kzbin.info/www/bejne/il6tnXRuic2sjKM If your Xingqiu's Skill isn't leveled up very high or isn't doing much damage, you can instead just use it together with his Burst, which gives a little more field time to Sucrose and Xiangling: - Xingqiu S + B (+ S if sac proc) - Bennett S + B - Sucrose S + B - Xiangling S + B - [ Bennett S > swap quickly to Xiangling > Sucrose NA x3 ] repeat this until Xingqiu's Burst is back off of CD

Have a question about your Kuki build. Why ER sands? Her Q is lvl1 and not doing much damage, so why? Invulnerability frames to heal up?

Since I don't have her C2, her Skill has a 3-second downtime between when it ends and when its CD comes back up. I like to have my Burst off of cooldown as frequently as possible to fill that gap and use it to detonate Dendro Cores if I see a lot on the ground and my Skill is still on CD. If you do have her C2, then I think the EM Sands is the way to go.

I do t know why but I’m having the hardest time with the fkin floor! It’s driving me nuts!!! My Nahida who usually does 20-30k per normal atk is doing abysmal dmg output with her procing hyper bloom…. Kuki c0 vs Fischl c5, which one should I use for my hperbloom? What I have in mind is Ayato c0, Nahida c0, then maybe Zhongli? I do have c6 xingqiu. Help pretty please? 🙏

If you're trying to maximize your Hyperbloom damage, Kuki is definitely your better option. Her AOE Electro damage is able to trigger Hyperbloom much more consistently than Fischl can, who only has a couple sources of AOE damage. That having been said, even without frequent Hyperbloom triggers, Fischl is still a strong option simply by merit of her high single-target damage. The team you listed should be very strong on paper. Some key things you should check for: Kuki should be high level (ideally 90) with a lot of EM (~900+), you must keep an eye on her Skill and refresh her Skill as soon as you see it go out, and make sure to re-apply Nahida's Skill on each new wave of enemies that spawn.

I'm really having trouble helping another person's account get more stars on floor 12. She doesn't have any of the meta swirlers, no good crowd control units at all really. It's just really frustrating to see people 9 star floor 12 with 4 star units when Raiden National plus Kuki Hyperbloom is giving me 1 star clears in every chamber. I realize it can take years to get enough strong emblem pieces (finally got a 35 cv ER sands on my account a few weeks back!), but when even kuki hyperbloom struggles it makes me wonder what the heck is even happening.

I've been playing a challange account for quite a while now (it's an account where the only two units i use for *everything* in the game are Lumine and Amber), and it's made me realize how good Anemo MC is, for just about anything when you don't have the applicable alternatives, like Sucrose, Kazuha etc. (and also for overworld, like swirling hydro onto hydro monuments to light them when you don't have Barbara). Definitely one of my most favourite units atm c:

I tried using Yelan, Xin, Fischl and Yaoyao for the first half. The damage isn't really there even though I have yelan. I would use Kuki but I don't have good artifacts for her. Is yaoyao the issue here considering she uses 2p wanderer and gilded dreams? Do I need 4p gilded dreams on her?

You should use 4P Deepwood on Yao Yao for the Dendro RES decrease, or else your Hyperblooms won't deal nearly as much damage. The bigger issue is Fischl, who will have a hard time detonating the Dendro Cores due to her lack of AOE Electro damage. I would definitely switch to Kuki if you do want to stick with a Hyperbloom team. If you don't have good sets for her, just give her all the highest-EM Artifacts you can find, even if you can't complete any set bonuses. Get her to get her to Level 90 if you haven't already.

Raiden is the other strong option, but if you don’t have her either, one alternative is to use Beidou/Fischl + Sucrose. Beidou or Fischl will frequently apply Electro on the Enemy, and Sucrose’s NAs and abilities can Swirl against that Electro to deal Electro damage in a large AOE and detonate the Dendro Cores around the target. Of course, the main downside of this is that you’re taking away Sucrose from the second half, which makes it much more difficult. So unfortunately there isn’t a perfect solution here. Dori can also work by positioning the tether from her Burst to detonate the Dendro Cores. But it can be difficult to pull off smoothly bc you have to be constantly chasing around the Dendro Cores with her Burst active.
