Buffy did fall down holes a lot in the show, so I'm not surprised by that first level. I want RGG Studio to make Buffy game so bad. Walking around Sunnydale, learning skills from Giles and slaying vamps at the Bronze? It's a license to print money.

I actually liked him in season 4. It was a neat to have everyman/outsider type character. And he actually did some cool shit like doing surgery on his own chest to take out a control chip. It was really in season 5 where he became horrible.

Matt is BASICALLY right about the sex monsters (lmao) but conflating 2 episodes into one. In the first season, there's a trip to the zoo that turns Xander and some bullies into weird hyena creatures who are all like "alphas" (ep: The Pack), and in season 2 there's a mummy unearthed at the museum who kisses people to steal their youth, who also falls for Xander (ep: Inca Mummy Girl).

The Riley/Adam season was where my brain just stopped remembering Buffy episodes. I used to watch new episodes every week and that shit is like a void. Great video, Matt!

it's funny to realize how many tv shows,cartoons and movies got games back in the day and that seems to be an exception nowadays. Games are now too expensive and time consuming that now everything needs to look like an epic cinematic or open world AAA,which doesn't leave much room for these kinds of games anymore.

I can't believe that a Buffy the Vampire Slayer game developed by natsume could be terrible 😢, the same company that made Kickass games like the Ninja Warriors and wild guns and shadow of the Ninja should have been perfectly able to make a kick-ass Buffy the Vampire Slayer game

Dang all these GBA games that had pre-rendered 3D sprites. Many of them didn't look so great even at the time of release. I guess at that time it was just easier/quicker maybe even cheaper to do that than hire proper pixel artists. This one at least still looks better than most (Men In Black was awful)

ok apparently there is actually a Vampire Diaries game however it's based on the books that the show is based on, not the show itself it is also an FMV game

Check out an indie game called Slayer Shock. It's basically a roguelite first-person Buffy simulator. It's not exactly good, but it is one of a kind. The devs' previous game, Eldritch, also looks like crap, but actually is good.

The DS got a Buffy game, but it's a half licensing game and on a budget? as it's base on the Buffy comics that also have the likeness of actors of the show? Even tho there's no music from show in the game, or no the original voice cast. It's all text reading, with your basic grunts and sounds, and original music. And it's a Resident Evil classic clone with beat'em combat.

The DS game was pretty decent you should check it out. It's not great whatsoever but I have fond memories of it...which means it's probably not that good now.
