Perez outsmarted clubs like City and PSG of whom are state owned clubs with almost infinite resources. Back in the early 2000s he leveraged Real Madrid’s name to attract superstars that started the Galacticos. But over the years and decades he understood that this’ll not be the case anymore as these state owned clubs can absolutely dominate the transfer market hence he pivot the strategy for the transfer of young players combined with the mentorship of the old guards already at the club. Now it seems with Endrick joining and possibly Mbappe with many more to come he has secured Madrid’s future for at least decade. Hala Madrid 🎉

At Real Madrid all the signings are made by the club and NOT by the coaches. this model is very effective in building a squad that can compete at the highest level for a long time, even under different Managers. Thats why Chelsea and INEOS at Man united are trying to adopt a similar model.
@stefankatsarov58066 ай бұрын
It is a doble eged blade, the coach you have might not be able to fit the players in his system and so will the other coaches that come along. You end up whit a dysfunctional team like Chelsea or the Galacticos. A curent topic is Mbappe to Real and the potential problem that might arise if he cant play well at striker for them.
@czoborarpi6 ай бұрын
@@stefankatsarov5806I think having Ancelotti mitigates that problem almost entirely. He is so good at adapting.
@IscoMadrid-fd7fy6 ай бұрын
One of the differences is also scouts. Madrid has Juni Calafat who has been vital when it came to signing South-Americans. Also Madrid always looks for a specific type of player. With United and Chelsea it always felt like they immediately jumped on board when it came to talent in Europe. At Madrid you had youngsters who also did not succeed but shined at other clubs (Kubo, Odegaard and Brahim). Coaches like Ancelotti were also great when it came to adapting talent to fit their playing style. The same was with Mourinho at Man United. It was clear that they simultaneously owned the dressing room but also gave enough free space to youngsters in order for them to grow. With ETH and Pochettino it sometimes felt like they lost their power and that the club lost their power on players i.e. Chelsea players fighting over a ball, Kepa refusing to be subbed and Man United players blaming eachother. If that would happen at Madrid, they would show you the door immediately. Perez's philosophy is that no one is bigger than the club and at Man United and Chelsea it sometimes felt like the players had more power and influence than the club. Madrid would never allow that to happen.
@DAAllan826 ай бұрын
@@stefankatsarov5806it’s why Madrid focuses on coaches like Ancelotti and Zidane who are not narrow minded from a tactical perspective and are more focused on managing personalities. Perez has also managed to compete with PSG and Man City that are practically financed by nation states. RM has to innovate to keep up with them football wise and compete for the best players. Perez demonstrated that it is possible. I might be wrong but I predict that whatever RM does now business wise will be imitated by other big clubs down the line. I loved that you mentioned Man Untd. For many, including me, it is hard to grasp why they earn so much still. The answer seems to be that they were early innovators and are still enjoying the benefits. I think a massive reason (probably not the main reason) he wants the super league to go through is to finally cement himself as the man who changed football. Sure he oversaw the greatest club of all time during its greatest heights as the top club in most years if not all the years but that just puts your name in a couple of buildings, maybe trophies, maybe even renaming a bunch of stadiums or training grounds. Great honors all of them. But he really wants to be the man who changed football forever. If this super league thing ever goes through, he’ll be remembered as just that. The most important man in modern day football, not just the most successful. Plus with Madrid gaining a bunch of money, that would probably mean he gets a bunch of money. So maybe that’s there as well. Because Madrid most likely would never not be socio owned. It will probably stay as the biggest club with the most revenue but Papa Perez already oversaw that and made that the undisputed truth. Why be the most important man in the greatest club in the world if you could be the most important man in the history of modern day football. He’d be on par with the first dude to ever kick a ball.

The fans chose Figo, Perez went to his agent, signed a deal, and if Perez won, Figo goes to Real. If he lost, Figo kept the money. Figo didn’t even want to go to Real but the deal was made without his consent.

Regardless good or bad, football will never be the same without him. He has truly contributed so much to the game without tarnishing it.

You want an illiterate farmer gather more than 100m€ and run the biggest football club in the world!?

My father has businesses and I came from middle class too, I am working as a delivery rider right now; it is humble beginnings if you become one of the richest people in Spain and the world and the president of the best club in the history of football. Of course it's humble beginnings if you compare it to that, We all know that you can always be even more humble.

Because he's a billionaire now, that's humble beginnings, it means he's wealth didn't come from his family

Owning a few store that only worth hundred thousand of euro is humble. He's not like Victoria Beckham where she is born to already wealthy family that have luxurious car.

There is no down time at Real Madrid unlike some big team when they transition from players to players. Hands down to Papa Perez for running them so smoothly.

You need to update this video, especially since Real Madrid has originated a revenue of 1BN euros. The first team in history that has done it. And the next season is expected to increase it because the stadium will be full operative.

I'm from Madrid. Florentino and Real Madrid don't forget the first team to change the Football with the marketing and a little class : the Milán of Berlusconi and Galliani with Baresi, Gullit, Van Vasten, Rijkaard, Donadoni, etc wearing Armani clothes. They were in another level.
