dear Gina I live in Australia in the mountains. we get snow maybe you get a lot more but I am surrounded by eucalyptus trees they seem to survive the winter fine. perhaps you should leave one out for the winter and see how it goes. If it survives well it will save you work in the future.

Roots & Refuge! I love Jess, too. And you. I love you. Both of you are fab. And, since we're talking homesteading channels, Living Traditions has some great videos on using weed fabric. They're in the Missouri Ozarks where the weeds outnumber the insects, but they've had great success with weed fabric. They're growing veggies, not flowers, but the idea is the same. To be honest, those weeds of yours make me nervous because snakes. Please be careful.

That variety of melon you grow look so yummy. I'd want to grow some to try its taste since I don't see any store in CA sell them, thanks for the info, Nicole. 😄 Also I just learn to use the app LeafSnap to found out that flower's name is Celosia Flamingo Feather or Celosia Spicata. Seeds are on selectseeds.com (now) or floretflowers.com (restock on January) in case you're interested. 🥰

How much work would it take to fix the porch the way you want it? You mentioned a while back that you wanted it stained instead of painted. Is it possible to strip paint and then stain? I don’t know anything about that kinda stuff. Considering you do porch sales maybe it would be worth the investment to fix it up the way you want it. Maybe your dad could help? Start a little patreon tip jar so people can donate to your porch makeover.
