That'd be a proper standard pushup. However for a boxer focusing on explosiveness is probably better, so that would look like very fast paced pushups without pausing or slowing down during the negative. That's why he can do so many pushups, there's no way he can do 140 pushups with good standard form (slowing down, etc)
@Banana_Split_Cream_Buns3 жыл бұрын
People mentioning full Range of Motion are right but you also have to consider that 1 full ROM pushup for Floyd is going to be a lot easier than 1 full ROM pushup for even someone like Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder. Make sure to do them properly and not just for the numbers. You can mess up your elbow joints on the long run (im 23 and this has already happened to me cause of years of doing pushups with poor form just to do +100) watch Athlean X or Jeremy Ethier, they both have some great tutorials about correctly done pushups. Boxers don't go full range of motion tho , doing half reps is so much easier it's not even comparable . When i trained calisthenics only i managed to do 60-70 full range of motion pushups . I could not raise that number even tho i trained every day . And the world record for full range pushups without rest is somewhere along the lines of 100-120 . There's 0% chance he did full range of motion .

Yeah right I'm getting sick of people saying they're doing 100 in row. The full range motion is so much harder and I can barely reach 40 even tho I train everyday

Half reps get prisoners swole none of them do full rom, not extending all the way up keeps stress on your muscles so even if you do more cause the motion is less it breaks your muscle better at least from my experience. Full rom hurts your joints as well so you won't even be able to do them everyday, your arms would hurt like a mf you'll have a hard time even moving them around
