Thanks a lot for the lesson! Osoto gari was one of the first things I learned in judo and somehow it just became one of my favourites over time. What I feel is really common in any teaching video from Japan is the focus on grip and how you use your hands, somehow I feel like that hasn't been as much in focus in western classes I take. Not that it's ignored, but it comes up early in the instructions every time in Japan for every throw and situation. And feels like it makes a huge impact on how you get from A to B.

Really great tips and in-depth applications. This isn't a throw I was taught in person at length, but your teaching gives me more confidence in trying it out more. Also, uke blue is a champ for taking all those falls.

Sensei . After I swept , my uke feet facing my 6 o clock , unlike yours facing 12 o clock. My uke said it was powerful, but I felt it was wrong. Maybe I used too much power in my sweeping leg ?

Thanks František Šmehlík🖐️ At first, I think it's good to hold the area around the elbow. If you can do that, I think you can hold it around your wrist. This is my opinion.

Last Thursday night I practised osoto gari after the regular class. I introduced all your tips to my Uke....and we both followed your guidance. Amazing osoto went on that tatami ... and I said in my mind....that was an osoto gari with great fluidity. Thank you fluid Judo! When is your next video? Christmas time....with a new video?
