It’s good if your only carrying a meter a few hand tools, I had one and I loved it, the layout was great, but after 6 months the plastic base came away form the bottom of the bag and and slowly got worse to the point I couldn’t use it anymore as it wasn’t secure, I contacted Fluke about it as bought it on there website around 3 months ago, but I have yet here back form them, so I’d recommend the veto pro packs instead they are a lot more durable

i have a veto pro pack! great bag holds a ton, had it 4+ years! flew with it as a checked bag, very tough! BUT no scratch-free pockets for ppe (what i would use the top clamshell for) or meters. A good all around bag. And weighs ten pounds empty.. but that aluminum backplate! and the handle! SKOOKUM! Unlike the fluke handle that's just rivets in ripstop. I'm also considering the fieldpiece BG44 but it might be a bit small for my purposes. This review is the only one i've seen that goes thru (almost) all the pockets on the fluke - the literature doesn't go thru all the pockets! I think that front clamshell is big enough for a laptop, even! Thanks for the teardown, Sparky!

Lots of money in one bag not to have any locks and the Fluke badge is a giveaway to thieves… debating on this one but my Veto bags may continue to be the best option

That’s half the price of the Veto pro pac LT, I wonder if is made is the same fabric they made their meter cases cause I have to buy Klein cases for my fluke meters, they don’t hold. At least the ones I got

I'm not an electrician but have worked with them before....I have never seen anyone use that many meters. Is that "normal" to carry many meters?
@SparkyChannel Жыл бұрын
Probably not.
@nonetheless01 Жыл бұрын
Definitely not normal to carry that many , usually a just a dvom and amp clamp is it .
@DenyTheZeitgeist7 ай бұрын
Better to have it and not need it than need it an not have it. That being said, I only use a LinkIQ and my 87v in my bag (telecom install).

Soo, been about a year, and my duties have increased. I now carry a quick multimeter, a MUCH MORE precise multimeter for mV and mA. Also a separate induction clamp dedicated to mA draw . So I guess anything is possible.

I agree. I deal with building automation and HAVE to have a laptop to interface with the controllers.

It’s a small slot on the back. Only a 13 inch laptop really fits.

This is geared more towards service/repair. I have a milwaukee backpack but it doesn't fit all of my meters. This is perfect for what it's made for.

I'm undecided between the Velocity Pro Gear Rogue 6.0 and this Fluke. The Fluke looks awesome for transporting your test meters etc but, it advertises the contents of the bag and it's value with its bright yellow Fluke badge. I'd have to somehow cover that up. Stay safe. 😷
