What a handful of blessings you have been given sir. I was born and raised in Northern California and I’ve been a avid steelhead and salmon fisherman for as long as i could hold a pole, that trout you just landed was bigger then some of our ocean going streams average steelhead. What a awesome and beautiful fish. Our fishery’s are struggling and suffering so bad over the last number of years, and it kills me. Fishing is more than a sport. Funny you say the fish in the first location looked bigger in the water. I found South Island fish looked smallest in the river then bigger when hooked and biggest when landed. 😆
