Just so all the viewers know, all these rivers are available to fish for free (as long as you have a fishing licence). They are not private and certainly not exclusive to Owen River Lodge. Owen River Lodge clients (and their guides) have no special rights to them. Even the river next to the lodge is public water. Enjoy the film of New Zealand's wonderful Rivers....

I completely agree with you that lifelong anglers question if they are good enough for New Zealand - I certainly questioned if I had it in me - and this is where the incredible NZ guides feature - guys like Gavin McAuliffe, Todd Adolf and Alan McIntyre (to name 3 that I have personally fished with) - these guides help to put you at ease, and help you overcome your stage fright - get you in the game - all that I can say is that the week that I fished in NZ earlier this year was right up there with my wedding and the birth of my two sons - it was that good - this lodge looks incredible, and the R.L. Winston rods and Bauer reels are noted…
