Enjoyed honest film.How good and stable is the boat seat and what size is it as cannot find specs anywhere.Shorten up leader was little confusing ? and what leader are you fishing on those lumps ?

@@jpdorsethq1280 Thanks for the question pal. Once the boat seat has been ratcheted to the thwart board it is rock solid. Like sitting in a patio chair. The chair rotates but not so quickly as you would feel unstable. Usually I would fish 10' to my first dropper so that I can change line quickly. The downside to this is the flies sink much quicker. So, shortening up the leader to 5' which means with a floater I can keep the flies in the taking zone longer. I was using 10.5lb Rivarge Soft Plus tippet.

Thanks lindsay, your video brought back many memories for me. It's been 34 years since I had a boat on Rutland and the church etc has not changed. I used to fish in the Phillips Electronics inter company annual competition and loved it. Unfortunately a bit too far to travel now. I enjoyed seeing the quality of the fish and I hope when I'm out on my loch on Wednesday the sport.is as good. Tight lines always.

Lindsay... So happy to see that you are able to get out and do some proper fishing. Those were some beautiful rainbow's. Could you explain, please, the purpose of having three different fly rods set up differently? I have always used one rod and just changed the leader and fly according to the situation. Very curious. Thank you.
@lindsayiflyfish4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, it just cuts down your time changing rigs. Its much easier to just pick up another rod. More time with your flies in the water the more chance of catching a fish ;-)
