Not done a review in a while something I am hoping to do more of in the future. So, this week is a review on a product that will be being launched at this years BFFI (12th - 13th Feb 2022) from Upavon Fly Fishing. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the prototype for a couple of weeks to run it through its paces. At the time the video was filmed all information was correct.
Just to be clear I am not being paid in any shape or form for doing this review and the opinions stated in this video are my own. I hope you enjoy the video and if you get the chance let me know your favourite fly tying item that you would not be without in the comments section below.

Certainly looks a well thought out piece of kit & great space saving. What I really enjoyed was when you warned about accidentally leaving hooks lying around, you put pets before young children. That made me smile. Tight lines, Derick.

A logical progression and evolution of the earlier workstation. One application it will be useful for is when involved in team pre match practice sessions. This combined with a medium case or tool box for materials extra hooks ect. Either pre or post session team briefings. When a a new or variation of a pattern is needed. The designated team tyer can knock out the needed patterns for the next practice session and or the match. Two boxes instead of half the darn car full of most of your home kit. Same detail for a general club meeting when teaching or a demonstration of how to make any specific pattern. With everything considered. Ease and speedy almost instant set up alone makes this money well invested.

Nice station, well thought out,great if you are short on space, tad pricey but probably has a place in the market.

At least it’s considerably cheaper than the Petitjean one which comes in at about £250! Personally I’ll stick to an old laptop carry case I got for a tenner off eBay. Fifer eh?!

I see in one of the comments you said you have had half the garage converted, how big is the internal space? I'm going to put a room in the garage and I'm unsure of what size to go for. Regards Dean

It's approx 8' X 12' which is just about big enough ;-)

Nice but the lack of space to include a vice in the box would be an issue for me. Maybe he could adapt the case so you could use a vice without a pedestal and then it could go into the case too? Also the price point is high given non of the materials are included.

I suppose that if you add that facility you have to increase the size of the box.

Vary nice like the box but it needs a place for the vice .I got one from the bass pro shop it came with a vice and all of the tools I killed the vice with in 6 Months

Vices vary in quality and poor ones don't last long for sure.

I hear ya but when you look at some of the other products which are not much more than chopping boards with some holes in it is probably about right.
