While the sub is definitely good, Colleen and Travis’s performances just ARE Riza and Roy to me. I think Colleen’s more mature voice was just the perfect fit for Riza, and Travis just gets the range of Roy SO well.

No disrespect to the original, but I prefer the English Dub. I think that Colleen and Travis really captured the "Old Married Couple" aspect Roy and Hawkeye have with each other, esp in this scene, with Hawkeye being the nagging, ball busting wife and Roy the henpecked husband. I also feel that the American VA's voices, being deeper than their Japanese counterparts, gave the characters a better sense of age and authority- they are 30/near 30 yr olds in the Military, they should sound like commanding adults, not young teens. I do however think that Travis pitched his voice a little TOO low for the FMA: B version of Roy, he came across to me as cartoonish at times. I prefer the voice Travis used for the original FMA series.

the 2003 japanese dubbing was good. Toru Okawa did an excellent job voicing Roy Mustang. he had a commanding voice. too bad they didn't have him reprise his role (most likely due to the japanese acting industry, which is a whole different can of worms).
