discord isn't usually a bad place but it shouldn't be 13+. internet safety had come to me at that age but 14 or 15 are much more reasonable. it's all based on who you interact with. generally avoiding kids' game communities is the right play as well as communities that censor completely sfw things. music discords are great for finding people with your taste in music and chatting with them. but NEVER show your age/face and NEVER click weird links in any server.
