Great video Lee! Lovely cottage for two and a beautiful location to get away from the crowds. Love those images of the Highland Cow, what a magnificent creature! Nice hike to the top and some lovely views up there. Well done respecting the Marines wishes and letting them get on with their important training. A couple lovely sunset shots at the end there! Looks like a great getaway! I really enjoyed the look around!

Been Dartmoor several times but never found the Highland cows, the wrong turn turned out to be a good thing , as for the Marines I thought it best not to cause any issues with a group of wet pissed off armed squaddies!

Good to see you back film making Lee (unlike myself 😂) Just typical to find practice manoeuvres in full swing as you arrived at the quarry Lee ! Great Highland cattle images and the second sunset image was a lovely scene to end the vlog. Look forward to more from Dartmoor 👍🏻

Good to see you vlogging again Lee. Shame you didn't get the shots you wanted but it looked a great place fr a break. Highland Cattle always make great subjects, there is a farm not too far from us that has a small herd and I think some of my first images I took with my Nikon were of them.

Hi mate , that was dewerstone woods, think I managed a couple of images there, as we had visited before I didn't really take many images of that area and as it was supposed to be a break for my wife as well trying to strike a balance is always tricky !

What a great place to stay. I've made three attempts in the past, to shoot at Fogginton Quarry, everyone failed because of poor conditions. Will check out your other Dartmoor videos. Cheers!

Thanks mate, shame the marines were training but on this occasion no spectacular light anyway so I don't think I would if git a good image from inside the quarry , still a great location , not sure if it falls within the current permitted wildcamp area but I will have to have a look for the future I think

@@LeePelling Yes, a favourite training area for the marines, I came across them there also. A little hidden from the sun, but fog and moody skies would make for favourable photography conditions I think. Need to go back there.

Foggintor sometimes disappoints when it's being shared, but that's just how it is. I remember it being the last long walk my dear old dog was able to do and finding the ruins being camped around by a large group of people ruined most of my photography plans. I went back another day, but sadly my dog didn't get to do it again. I don't think cars and motorbikes are actually allowed down the track without prior permission from the landowner.

Sorry to hear about your dog, the vehicles you see hear were all from the military and not from the public as there is a locked gate across the track . Still I see why you liked to walk here its a lovely location and full of good memories I'm sure . Thanks for watching mate
