Spot on for an Irish vlogger family who filmed themselves in the waiting room of a gender therapy clinic they took their 9 year old to, constantly asking 'How are you feeling, what are you thinking'. This is the sad reality for that child and their siblings (incl. having been filmed in the bed, accidents in bed shared, and much, much more...), as well as many others out there. There should be a law against family vlogging.
@HSBsoulsurfer8 ай бұрын
As an American (we started all this woke crap) I cannot believe the laws and changing of values that is going down formerly Catholic Ireland. It really matters how people vote. You guys are being turned day by day into us in the U.S. I am so sorry. Parents like that should be outed to Child Services type offices, yet the governments where this stuff is being pushed on young kids probably won't do anything much or even worse will go after anyone who raises a voice to it, calling US extremists. Horrible stuff. I still believe we need to stand up and vocalize disapproval for things that go too far. Children deserve an unfettered childhood. Growing up is hard enough.

I love how you can see the different 'points of view' through the camera. Influencer Dad sees everything as a business/content opportunity; whenever he's filming everything looks loud and rather awkward. He doesn't take things seriously at all. Compare that to the setup when Alexi and the therapist are speaking/reacting, which is simpler and in many ways more realistic, but it also looks much more serious. A good example of this is when the therapist finally snaps. The framing literally goes from "understandably pissed and fiercely caring about his patient" to "THERAPIST EXPLODES (SHOCKING!!!)"

As a counselor I appreciated the sketch, but it made me so incredibly sad. It felt like watching Charlie Chaplin eating an old shoe. Great content! Advice to the therapist: Don't shout, it takes away your authority. Instead put very clear rules and stick to them. I'd have told the father to hand me the phone for the time of the session to make sure he can't use it and I would not have started the session until he gave me the phone. I also would have told him very openly that he is about to lose his son very quickly. Edit: actually the mum from your other sketches could teach you how to treat this father. Is that a better title do you think: "Family vloggers go to therapy"
@Heleendje2 жыл бұрын
@@foilarmsandhog I'd say keep the "Influencer Dad" for continuity!
@bernadinesavarin2 жыл бұрын
@@foilarmsandhog No, I prefer the original title, especially because it's just the dad doing the vlogging, not the whole family. Besides, "Influencer Dad" is now an inside FAH brand, like Parents 🤣
@laurenconrad17992 жыл бұрын
@@foilarmsandhog I like the title, “Influencer Dad Goes to Therapy” because it still has “Influencer Dad” in the title but the title is super smooth and slightly shortened. But you guys are comedy geniuses and whatever the title is, that doesn’t take away from the absolute brilliance that is this sketch.

well i hope this sketch is gonna go viral as well😂😂

So well done! 👏 Definitely a contender for any Top Ten list, with the combination of humour, satire, bittersweetness, FAHbulous acting (great facial and vocal expressions, in particular), and of course popular recurring characters! (It's hard *not* to love Arms as a therapist - or hate Foil as Influencer Dad!) I'm surprised Dr. Horton didn't insist that the phone be put away at the start of the therapy session, though. If he doesn't regret that mistake now, he will when "Angry Therapist" memes and merch go viral! 😆 He's going to need some therapy himself at this rate. And poor Alexi - Anne Flanagan should adopt him, and show him what it's like to have a caring parent!

It would really be nice to see him at the flanagan's house, together with Oishin and Barry. Maybe he could be a distant relative that she takes in for a while.

How can Hog switch from being Alexei in this sketch to Anne Flanagan in another and carry them both off perfectly? I am just in awe of FAH xx

I love Arms as a therapist! He comes off as so genuine and lovely. Even when he's shouting at the end! I'm so happy my parents weren't social media influences! It was bad enough that they told their friends all my embarrassing moments, at least they didn't tell the internet!
@Ensign_Roque Жыл бұрын
That sounds familiar, my mother would show pictures of my siblings and me around and tell stories, when we had guests over. It was so annoying and embaressing😑. I'm so happy that that was way back in the 90s , and not nowadays. She's definetely the type of person who would've put everything on facebook if it had been around back then😅. On the other hand, one of my friends has the whole life of her children on facebook, from ultrasound pic to the latest report card.😮💨 I don't understand why people are doing this.

Thanks for another great sketch. This is like the modern equivalent of my parents sharing our family album with guests -- including photos of me taking a bath in a bucket. Poor guests.

Oh, wow! You're doing a collab with Kidney-Failure-Boy!? 😲 You guys are really climbing the KZbin ladder! The algorithm will love this! 📈 This is one of the sequels I waited for. Like the first one, this made me laugh and then sad, because there are kids like poor Alexi out there. Kudos to Foil for being so hilariously obnoxious as this character! I feel like we haven't seen the McCormack family in a long time. How are they doing? Hope the dad got vaccinated after all his trouble.

@@SamFAHntha Good morning, Sam. 🌻 So nice to see a reply that's not a bot. Arms must be deleting like crazy and I've also been reporting nonstop. Doesn't seem to help much, though. I love that chaotic family. They're like the opposite of Anne and Oisín 😁

Speaking of parenting and merch.... I think my kiddo will have to be surgically removed from her FAH hoodie acquired last weekend at Castlebar gig..... And she keeps "swooshing" around the house like Foil's tree in the Military Captures An Actor sketch whilst giggling. I think that means FAH is therapy in itself 😊

Fahntastic Statistic In 2021 the first video to reach 200K views in de first week was the 'Will Northern Ireland get back with Ireland' sketch. This was at the end of April. The first sketch in 2022 with more than 200K views after the first week was actually the very first sketch: 'When you look like your job'. This isn't just a coincidence. From the five sketches of '22 three of them already had more than 200K after the first week!
