Hi there, wanted to see a video on your experience on following this clean GAPS and westonaprice diet and your kids' teeth. Did you see a wider palate, straight teeth from your experience? thanks again, and great video

I know this is an old video, but maybe you will still answer. What is considered well and sick between the two diets? What about skin conditions, like acne (maybe rocasa)or rashes ,itchy bumps

Thanks for the video! Do you have a recommendation for where to buy the liver for the raw frozen liver as a supplement?

What a great video! *Question! So, I have started GAPS Intro stage 1. All I have been eating is 48hr kefir, 24hr yogurt (homemade) and a chicken soup I make. I pressure cook a whole chicken with carrots, celery, onions, and garlic to make the broth. Then I pick the chicken and with the meat and strained broth boil some fresh carrots, onions and cauliflower to make the soup. I have been eating that for almost 2 weeks. Yesterday I made the exact same soup using chicken thighs instead of the whole chicken. There was more fat in that broth than the whole chicken broth and I have had terrible heartburn and stomach cramps ever since. Could I just not be ready for fats yet?? My yogurt and kefir is made with 3.25% milk from the store and I seem to handle that just fine. Do you have any thoughts? Thank you!! (-Shelby)

Thank you! Yes, that can be common to have trouble with fat digestion. There are things to do to help, like supporting the liver and increasing stomach acidity. Beyond that, GAPS is bio individual, and in order to help, I would need to assess your unique situation and lifestyle habits. Please send me an email at marisa(at)bumblebeeapothecary.com and I'm happy to share my services with you. Sending well wishes!

Hi Marrisa, how do I help my son gain weight on the gaps diet? Thanks for the wonderful content
@bumblebeeapothecary3 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! Great question. This is something I had to do as well! It's hard to say without knowing more, but including more eggs and GAPS dairy, plenty of fat, and plenty of GAPS friendly carbs should help. Also, eating more frequently can help. Beyond that, GAPS is bio individual, and in order to help more, I would need to assess your diet and lifestyle habits, and that's beyond what I can do in a comment. Please send me an email or message on Instagram and I'm happy to share my services with you. My contact info is in the description box. Sending well wishes!

Hi how long where you on gaps before having kids?
@SS-fs3ld2 жыл бұрын
I have no digestion issues, but was thinking of doing your 30 Day Gaps as a sort of detox (just purchased), followed by a month of Full Gaps and then Weston Price. Has Nourishing Traditions been ok for you... adding the sourdough bread and other foods forbidden on Gaps? Thanks for your wonderful content.

Hi! Thank you for this video... Really helpful! I do have a question kind of unrelated... I had covid back in August and lost my sense of smell and taste. They came back normally after a few weeks, but now my senses are distorted again. Certain foods smell rotten and/or like gasoline. Especially onions! And I used to love onions 😭 Have you heard anything about this? Makes me wonder what it’s doing to my body over time... What can I do to detox/prepare my body to have a baby within the next couple of years?
@sitathisfeet57973 жыл бұрын
Hi Maegan, I can't answer your questions, but Sarah the healthy home economist has an article about the role of zinc and restoring your sense of smell and taste after covid. May be worth a read.
@bumblebeeapothecary3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Wow, that's interesting, and not fun at all. I haven't heard of anything to help yet, but I will look into it! In the meantime, the suggestion here about zinc is a great thing to try.

I've had a lot of colds/flus (before all this insanity) that have done that to me, sometimes for quite a while. In addition to anything you try, remember that it will take time to get it back.

Those are good to include, but aren't nearly as nutrient dense as the foods I mentioned here :)

Just to name a few Moringa, parsley and dandelion have more nutrients then any amount of dairy/meat. God created fruit and veg for our food man was never intended to eat meat or dairy in the garden ☺️ everything you need to deliver healthy baby can be found in fruit veg and plants. Not saying your diet did not do you good all your children and family look beautiful. Research Moringa it’s the only plant you can solely live off with water :)
