Grohl's a great guy, I'm sure, but it's Grant that puts the punk rock shamble, energy & life into this!

I always figured that Dave was a big Husker Du fan, but to hear him tell it, ...damn! I am too, and maybe it takes one to know one, but I felt like I could hear it in his music. This definitely confirms it.

I just hope Bob’s telling ( and there seem to be some collaboration) That he and grant never made peace completely but made giant strides toward the end and knew they loved each other but brothers in a sense always have baggage is true

The last few years they sorted everything. That led to the band signing an archive deal with Numero Records. Bob went to stay with Grant for a long weekend not long before Grant passed to muse over old times, their legacy and the future of the Husker Du estate.

They had patched things up by the end. I used to see Grant at Bob's shows all the time.

Great catch - too bad it's audio-only, but I was rapt.

A sweet moment ruined about 10 years later when Grant Hart on KEXP says that he calls him Dave "Ghoul", because he makes a living off the dead. Such a shitty thing to say
@mileshall9235 Жыл бұрын
😮 I didn't catch that. That sucks.

So shitty. And not even remotely true.

Am I the only one who finds this patronizing and self-indulgent? The original recording clocks in at 1:39 and it is raw perfection. Six-plus minutes of Dave Grohl is about five minutes too much. Contrast this with Nirvana including Meat Puppets on their Unplugged episode. Kurt Cobain never tried to sell you anything. And I'm pretty sure the venue was Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.
