Americans eat on average about 3,400 mg of . However, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans limiting to less than 2,300 mg -that's equal to about 1 teaspoon of ! One other thing to add. With the daily recommended intake of water, say 8 cups cups or 2 litres; it's not advisable you drink 2 litres in one sitting. That's just common sense. Now imagine eating that amount of sodium in one sitting and how your body would cope with that. Damn, is right.

Try their regular blue label chilli. It will go from the rooter straight to the tooter. Eating it while on the toilet is correct. 1/4 of the can is grease. Thanks for trying this for us the people.

The best canned chili I have found is Campbell's Chunky Chili. You wouldn't expect Campbell to make a very good chili, but it is surprisingly good.

I remember when I was a kid, I told my dad, who was a chef, that I knew how to make chilli. So he challenged me and told me to make it for dinner. So I actually had no idea. This was before the internet. So I got some ground beef, hamburger helper, sloppy joe mix, beans, and celery. Then I mixed it all together. He came home and took one bite and was like WTF. hahaha

I agree, best meal on a cold day is a bowl of steaming hot Chili, and both of those sound really good, which is weird, cause I really don't like beer, but the stout beef chili sounds great, though, I bet Larry could make a better stout beef chili.

Larry, just do what i do, when you make your homemade chili, make a big batch for about 3 family meals. Freeze 2 batches in even family portions, and then have your one family portion for the day you are eating. You can also portion out a couple of individual servings for freezing when you get the crave , but nobody else wants any. Its what i do in rural ky. Keep chili on hand. btw, use good freezer containers for the chili, they are worth an extra buck. Also, castleberry is a huge favorite chili in this area, folks even put it on hot dogs and burgers , have a great day buddy

Great video! My neighbor gave me a can of Castleberry's Food Truck Stout Beef Chili the other day, because he didn't like it, and he knows that I like craft beer. I just tried it tonight, which is why I'm here online looking for reviews on it to see if anyone in the world could like it. I thought it was the worst tasting chili I've ever had in my life, and I've tried hundreds of different chilis. I've eaten a ton of them at chili cook offs, and I've eaten just about every canned variety there is. I also make a mean chili myself. Although I don't consider it real chili, the stuff at Steak 'n Shake tastes OK, Hormel chili is eatable, but Wolf Brand Homestyle Chili is the best I've ever had from a can. Castleberry's hotdog chili is fine for cheap chili dogs, but Wolf Brand with no beans is much better. If anyone ever offers me Castleberry's Food Truck Stout Beef Chili again, I'll tell them to toss it in the trash.

I bought a can of Wolf brand chili a few years back at a Dollar General. I was not familiar with the "Wolf" name so I bought it to compare it to Hormel which I am familiar with. I took it home, heated it and started eating away, it was alright, nothing compared to what I cook but I wasn't expecting anything more than a crappy canned chili product, I was just hungry and strapped for time. Anyway, about half way through the bowl I found a vein, about an inch long piece of artery which pretty much grossed me out, so no more Wolf chili for me. That's the story I tell my kids at bedtime, the big, bad, Wolf thing. I hope you enjoyed it too.

I like the kind you used to get at old-timey diners like the Wimpy's and Chicky when I was very young in the '50s and '60s. The beef was pretty obviously cooked like their burgers: smashed on a heavy grill, with a crust on the outside. That Wimpy's invented the foot-long hot dog in 1937 and they had a great chili hot dog sauce for it.

I’m blown away that that canned stout Chile had a very strong beer flavor. I made an Irish style stew (not Chile, but still) and didn’t really get the beer flavor. I’ll have to try MOAR BEER next time

I've had good chicken chili from Jason's Deli, so the chicken chili looked really good! I think I'd like the beef chili alright if they toned down the stout. Too beery a flavor would not play well for me. BTW, really like the folksy style of your videos.

These have to be very new/and or a test product. They aren't even listed on the Castleberry's website. I would like to try both. I do put stout (Guiness) in my chile and while I'm not partial to chicken chile I would try this.

Sear chuck roast, put in slow cooker, add onions, parsnips and multi colored carrots, pour in 2 bottles of Guinness Extra stout, salt and pepper. Cook for 4 hours on high. Banging.

I actually really surprised on this one. Castleberry is a common brand down here in SC and it's almost always in the discount section, at least a Publix. Their regular, bean-less chili is the closest thing I've been able to find to Michigan Coney Sauce since I moved down South.

I have only once eaten canned chili. It is super hard to find some in my country. It was definetly not the greatest thing but I guees it could have been better with rice. I make my own chili. Its easy and tasty.

My coworker brought chili made with peanut butter to work once. Everyone made a big deal about it. Later on, i made chili... forgot saltines, and had nothing but peanutbutter crackers... so ended up being pretty good. I imagine that's where the idea came from. The peanut butter crackers was better than what she prepared
