Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram is a training exercise for the neophyte grade. Proper practice should be invoking form in the morning, Banishing form at night. This system is all about balance and bringing these energies into your field and psyche in a balanced manner. This should also be paired with daily Meditation for 20 minutes minimum. Think of it as a pairing of yin and yang, the ritual work the active yang side and the meditation the passive yin side. Also daily dream journals and daily ritual and event diarys. Keep logs of everything you can think to note down even if it seems insignificant at the time. Eventually it will pay off.

Would that be 20 minutes in meditation, prior to using the LBRP, or after using the LBRP?

It's interesting. Today in the morning, while I was having my deepest thoughts about the world under the shower, suddenly an idea came up. I thought that if I am practising LBRP (I am fairly new to the practice) then maybe I should incorporate LIRP too, to balance things out. Then I began thinking when should I do it and to me it seemed that the duality of day and night should have some connection to the matter. 20 minutes later I sit on my desk, open my laptop and find this video in my recommended feed, I click and find this comment. It's interesting, really. Sometimes we ask questions and get the answer in a breath. Thanks for the advice! :)

When I first developed a serious interest in Magick, I read and read and did a lot of research first, and I knew eventually that I'd have to do the LBRP, and I put it off for quite some time for a myriad of reasons, including that I felt like an imposter and felt silly, and there was a bit to remember, but I FINALLY decided one day a few months ago, that I couldn't move forward without it, but I needed to, and so I set out to learn it and make it 2nd nature, and after a handful of times, it happened, it clicked in. I internalized the LBRP. The physical act of the breathing and doing it, and remembering the Archangels, the elements, the names of God, the motions all became ONE, and then I realized how special the LBRP really is. It has power on its own. At first, I fretted about not getting it right, and then I learned you can make it your own within reason. That's the beauty of magick. It's freelance spirituality with no dogma or conditions, and yet there IS some common themes/threads that have been mapped out for us by honest, courageous, intelligent people that looked into the abyss for us all so that we could understand and gain wisdom quicker. It's a blessing what I've discovered. Truly. Magick completes my life! ☺

@@afosfos5509 My friend, I ASSURE you, you are NOT an impostor and anyone who would dare make you feel like one, or condescend you, is NOT any kind of real Magician or spiritualist. Everyone one has been a beginner (even Aleister Crowley or Israel Regardie or out friend Foolish Fish here) and all of us had to start somewhere. The thing is, to start. Do NOT let those voices in your head stop you. I'd even argue that transcending that resistance by those voices is essentially magick all by itself. Just do it. I promise you, the benefits far outweigh the guilt of procrastinating. Get a blank piece of paper, draw out the cardinal directions, the Archangels, the basics, the four names of God (Yod-Heh-Vav-Heh, Adonai, Eheieh, AGLA), and even if you have to glance at it a few times for a few weeks, so be it. Interestingly, the LBRP has always given me a kind of clear calm. It's the mental/energetic equivalent of that sense of space and emptiness when you turn off a radio or TV that has been playing in the background for a while. I also notice that I'm more fortunate, people are more friendly and forthcoming. When I used to work in retail many years ago, I'd always have a better sales day if I did the LBRP in the morning. After a while, regular practice makes me more intuitive and responsive to coming events.

Benefit of the LBRP also includes crystallizing your aura whereby you can better cast your magic and intentions. The benefit includes also making energetic attacks on your physical and spiritual self harder. I love the LBRP.

@dallasstang28182 жыл бұрын
@@amb600cd0 it’s essentially to draw energy from the universe or the ethers and strengthening your aura which is the extension of yourself that is made up of the same energies as energetic beings in the spiritual realm. By crystallizing your aura through mediation and the drawing of energy into your being, your ability to affect your magic increases as well as your psychic abilities to perceive the spiritual realm. According to Damien Echols, whom I’m not entirely too familiar with, a purpose of crystallizing your aura is that upon death, your energy accumulated will not disperse but rather be maintain. I don’t believe this is the case or maybe I’m misunderstanding him. Either way, I’ve never died and remembered what happened after dying and then reincarnating so meh… There’s a shortcut to magick that isn’t really sexy but the shortcut is this. Believe that your magick works and that the entity or power or energy you are trying to work with has heard you and believe that it is going forth to do your will. Believe it and not worry. Just because you don’t see what others see or see sparkles and fireworks doesn’t mean that it wasn’t heard. I’ve used rituals, spells, amulets and sigils for magick. I’ve also done nothing more than a prayer with an earnest heart and the faithful belief that my intent was heard and will be done. This leads me to the assumption that the absolutely most important thing is your conscious will. The rest is some form of putting to form the function you (thought and mental will) already have inside. To help you as placeholder to help bolster your belief and make it seem more important so that your ritual or spell has some authority passed down thru the ages by some authority that knows something we don’t.

How does this pair with mindfulness meditation? Can it perhaps make you more successful, or inclined to success in life? I know you said it isn't low magick, but is it a mindset shift that comes, etc ... And most importantly, how long should I do the LBRP before advancing on to other exercises, Middle Pillar ,etc... Might of missed it, I apologize. Keep up the great work!

I'm interested to start delving into this, but that "upheavals in life" thing... ☺️ Things are finally unwinding and coming down after a few years of life being turned upside down. I'm enjoying the growing calm and peace. Perhaps I should wait a while before pursuing this (?)
@FoolishFishBooks Жыл бұрын
The upheaval thing is not something that happens to everybody. Only those who aren't following their divine path 😄 still... Make sure to learn the invoking form of the ritual too, so you can balance things out if it all gets too much 😊🙏

In my personal experience with LBRP, is to "banish" any spiritual and unseen entity in my space (especially my room's environment) without any ceremonial tools and items on my person, to perform the ritual. Just only using it for that purpose, and nothing else. With the release of this video.... I realized now that, the LBRP has a greater impact on one's personal life when performing the LBRP. And thank you for that wondrous information! However...... Is it recommended to have some physical ceremonial tools and items, in order to perform the LBRP, properly? Due to the nature of LBRP being part of Ceremonial Magic.
@FoolishFishBooks4 жыл бұрын
No. The LBRP can be performed "properly" with no tools at all. Adding tools does no harm, and can add to the solemnity of the occasion which the practitioner might appreciate, but their absence does not affect the practice.
@celestialarkon56344 жыл бұрын
@@FoolishFishBooks Good to know, that it doesn't affect the over practice, without the tools to accompany the rite.

Banishing the mundane? Interesting take. I learned of this and others golden dawn rituals from Damien Echols, which actually deems it THE way to clear the energy in a room, object, person etc...preparing the ground for further magic rituals that have an intent that can also be very mundane (get a better job, get more money etc). What would you say about that and why do you two have such a different take on the same ritual? I am eager to learn more, before I even think of start practicing.

From my 20 plus years of magical practice, I've come to realise that much of the paraphernalia of magick, both physical and psychological, are completely unnecessary. You could literally make up a ritual on the spot, using the most ridiculous imagery imaginable and have fantastic results. Been there and done it. The reason why rituals like the lbrp work is because people think it will, because it has a certain amount of historical and psychological weight behind it. I do my own version which is nothing like your version or the traditional one. I personally don't really bother with any astrological, alchemical or elemental stuff because it's meaningless to me. So why would i use it? I think a lot of the traditional magical content based around angels and demons and whatnot is outdated, outmoded crap. But if it works for you, then it works. But not because it's the truth. Anyone who's had enough experience of these things knows that you can get into any spiritual tradition and have spiritual experiences relevant to that tradition. I've done it with Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Norse mythology, Celtic mythology and had quite profound experiences with all of them. It's all just made up by people. The key factor in 99.9% of any magical operation and life in general is YOU and YOUR beliefs and how fervently YOU hold those beliefs and how well YOU can use YOUR will, intention and imagination. Magick is like finding the right psychological placebo in order to make your mind find a reason to excuse and accept seemingly miraculous phenomena. Anyway.... Have a nice day.

Okay most interesting, my shaman teacher told me exactly the same years ago, (actually is i more a "wiseman" to me doing Germanic magic but he studied with Sandra Ingerman so people give him a a shamanistic flavor, lol, egal) He told me that eventually rituals may not be necessary, true he can build a "circle" without needing the ceremonial... On my side I still need them but noticed that sometimes I can make "things happen" without the need of a complicated ritual, we used to do ritual lasting 2 or 3 hours, I learnt through experience that once trained this "simile state of trance induced" can be attained with a simple "Low Magick technique" but with me, I still need the paraphernalia as you wrote (nice word by the way) because I love the "ambiance of it" .. personal choice.. but what i am trying clumsily to share, is (you an laugh now) in simple words... " Yup I agree totally)

I've been having many of these same thoughts lately. "It's all just made up by people" really resonated with me because it's so easy to think that L. Ron Hubbard made up Scientology and Joseph Smith made up Mormonism, but nobody wants to believe that Moses made up YHWH-ism and Jesus and his disciples made up him being the Jewish Messiah. Having said that, I do believe all of these magicians came closer to understanding the true nature of God than any of us.
@amb600cd02 жыл бұрын
@@godlysidekick if joseph smith actually came close to god i dont think mormonism would have taken the course it has. but i understand what u mean. especially the older magicians. i highly doubt the made up their gods. at least in the way we think that would happen now. they likely felt then come as revelations during ritual. they believed in them from their inception. there was never the thought of wanting to create god. of course none of this can ve verified due to the time between us and those people. but i can agree they likely had profound experiences to shape their models of divinity. and likely felt an extreme closeness to totality. or whatever you prefer to call it

You say that the LBRP shouldn't be used for low magick, or for protection before low magick, or for combining it with low magick. I'm not sure I've understood you correctly, because I do low magick AND want to start doing LBRP, because I realize I need to learn it as a practicing magician. Is it still okay to do the LBRP, for example, in the morning, just before doing magick from The Magickal Cashbook, 72 Angels of Magick, etc (in short, GoM's books)? I don't see how it could be a problem, but I want to hear your viewpoint on this. Also, Damien Echols says in Angels and Archangels that we should always do the LBRP before doing any practical magick, so theres some contradiction here. Also, Echols says that the line we trace from pentagram to pentagram should be white and you say it should be blue. Which one is better? Peace.

I recently purchased the LBRP by Frater Abiyah and it was the best $8 I ever spent. I couldn't believe the result I got from it. Just the ritual alone was extremely helpful. It uses the standard Golden Dawn ritual.

Me going the other way around somehow 🙃 Having discovered I am literally gods hands on earth, to now setting boundaries with it and empowering my human subconscious to believe that my human self also has the authority to ask and receive what it needs to survive and be healthy and happy. Setting boundaries with the universe, particularly within myself, and having to consciously and literally communicate my needs as a human being with it, was something I did not expect… that’s how disconnected I was from my physical self. But it makes sense to me now, given the nature of my childhood and how that built my subconscious. Good to know now so I can work on it. I don’t want to be Jesus on that cross.

I appreciate your videos, Foolish Fish. I would like to admit that I have stayed away from the LBRP for years because of the confusion involved and the confusing terminology. Question: I could never understand why I would want to call up an evil spirit to begin with, then to only have to "banish" it? And, the "binding" word has added even more confusion to magickal work involving purification. Question: Why would I want to "bind" a spirit to myself? That's so bad and so wrong. I've been trying to work through this confusion for years and only get confusing answers back that leave me stuck.
@FoolishFishBooks3 жыл бұрын
I have lots of videos on my channel addressing these questions. Binding refers to binding the spirit so that it can't cause trouble, as you might bind a prisoner. Nothing to do with binding it to yourself.

The LBRB stopped me from going nuts and stopped my anxiety. I am not happy about the lack of a disclaimer: you become visible to undesirables in and aware of the astral. So they say.
@gabrielherrin2 жыл бұрын
I've actually heard the opposite. Middle Pillar makes you visible, LBRP keeps you hidden as you enter the current.
@iamfiguringoutwhoiam2 жыл бұрын
Wdym you become visible to undesirables?
@PinkPanda-Zx Жыл бұрын
@@iamfiguringoutwhoiam He probably means you 'light up' in the Astral/whatever you want to call it - it's a common understanding with Magick from my looking around that when you start to practice, you become more 'visible' to things that exist in that realm and might draw some. I've noticed experienced occultists mention this.

I’ve practiced the LBRP on and off for years now but I never got past a few days of consistent practice. It didn’t feel like it has the oomf I need so I just jumped into all the rituals LBRP, LBRH, MP, Circulation of light plus meditation. I don’t get the reasoning to practice LBRP only for months, however I’ve been on the spiritual path for years and I’m a practicing medium and spiritual healer so I felt confident to just jump right in because I’m used to energy work. Great video as always! Ps: I’m cooking spaghetti while watching this!

From your personal experience. Unless i'm wrong you seem pretty succesful so you are doing something right. Daemons books are great and i have almost all of them but something seems to be missing....I've tried the rituals in them but i don't get the same 'energy' or 'feeling' like when i perform the LBRP.
