ROCO ROCO So, the rest of your fellow veterans who didn’t vote for the soon to be Impeached president, who cut and run on our allies ( the Kurds ), and allowed the Russians to walk right in, etc will receive lesser or no benefits? That’s very interesting.

I tried and failed to get VA disability for being Discharged "Unsatisfactory Performance." The discharge came with NO medical diagnosis for the performance. I was screwed out of a good chance of VA Disability -- which I got SSDI with the same diagnosis. Now the case is closed.

Us Cold War Vets get subordinated by the system (not by other Vets). I tried and failed to get VA disability for being Discharged "Unsatisfactory Performance." But we CW Vets are pushed to the lowest priority and considered "less than." We weren't there in combat, we were there, vigilance, just preventing it.

I was told that i couldnt receive a monthly surviving spouse benefit if i drew a larger check from soc sec. i sure as heck dont get $14,000 a yr which is what they just stated. The local VA has messed me ovr and lied over and over again. I evn had one officer tell me he was 90% sure i would be eligible for backtime benefits on my husband from time of death, which will be 15 yrs this Dec 27,2018because he was in Army serving during vietnam war from Agent Orange. Got my hopes up, then said i didnt qualify .i think they just didnt want to pay all tht back time. Who can i talk to that will help me wth this? My husband died from lung, liver and bone cancer 17 days after diagnosis. I will be 58 in Dec and struggle to survive on Soc Sec disability and my husband small soc sec benefit .

So sorry to hear of your loss of your husband. I will be praying that you can find someone to help you with your appeal. Perhaps there is someone at your church who will assist you in applying, or a pro bono legal clinic in your town, where lawyers help people without charging them.

My dad who is 89 was denied. Something about making to much money in the civilian work and has good medical insurance and not paying enough medical out of their Pocket. I think that is what they meant. He served in the army and National Guard. I don't know what to do. My step mom can't take care of him anymore. But she can't afford to take him any where.

Im still married with my husband and he's still alive and disable. I when to VA applying for a spouse benifit for taking care of my husband. I been denied. This is really devastating to me. Sometimes I'm thinking about comitting anything.
@pawetfashions61046 жыл бұрын
Hello, first you can not be disabled yourself and be the beneficiary for your spouse. One can not be disabled taking care of another disabled person. However, if you have a grown child, go through an agency or even a friend who can help your husband. Then you would want to reapply with THEIR information. The benefits would still go to your husband every month for him to distribute to whomever helps him. BUT you will continue to be turned down as long as you apply and are disabled. You can also get help with the homeless division of the VA. They can help you save your home or give you a voucher to help with your rent or housing. Also, when you are applying you need to remember YOU are not being denied your husband is being denied. When you complete his claims try to do it under his ebenefits page, go to apply, and click whatever you are attempting to apply for. Hope this helps. God bless

Locate your local VSO or go to the nearest VA regional office. Or you can go onto your Ebenefits portal and apply for the benefits you are trying to obtain.

Go straight to the local Disabled American Veterans office. They know the VA better than the VA, and they will help you. Then join them and help support them so they can help others.

Don, so does what the attorney saying apply to a 100% disabled veteran who 40 years ago enlisted into the Army but was not part of a "declared war?" Would it be best to seek counsel from an experienced VA attorney than seek HELP(medical crisis "under the CARE" of the VA), from the VA ...........HELP
@pawetfashions61046 жыл бұрын
You are speaking of World Wars, i.e. WW1 WW2. However, we have been to war since then. If you recall after 9/11 President Bush did indeed DECLARE WAR on Afghanistan. I happen to know this because I was on active duty when this happened. We were "at war" for several months. Then the "war" was renamed as a Campaign. Hence, I have campaign medals for all invasions from Dec 2002 up to 2016 OIF, OEF, and OND. I deployed during each one of these campaigns. We would always say we are at war. However, the difference is when one goes to war we MUST stay and occupy that country; one simply fights in a campaign and the country (USA) are NOT obligated to leave our forces in country. I lived this, I was a part of this, and I have the wounds both mentally and physically... to speak on it. Thank you for reading.
