1) Be your own king/queen. I find this advice everywhere. I guess it's good to name it first. My name for this habit is to "be proactive", meaning it is only your responsibility to take control over the things that happen directly to you on the daily basis. I see this habit as a first step to seeking self-improvement. How can you make your life (or other's lives) better if you can't even be honest with most of your decisions? If you want to truly "be your own king/queen" or "be proactive" you should try to understand the difference between personal desires/goals/thoughts etc and the ones that were built/implemented by other authorities in your environment (parents/teachers/school/government/media etc.). This step could clarify where the border is, so you can think of your outcomes rather than the ones you haven't chosen. 2) If they can make it, I can make it too. Oh gosh. I was watching the Vogue interview with Dua Lipa the other day and found the same piece of advice from her. Yeah. I guess that's why we seek so many "idols" or "role models" especially with the rise of the Internet. I think it is really close to the truth. Besides, for the last 6 years, I actually used this advice unconsciously so many times. Whether it was about starting my dance journey, editing, filmmaking or business. In any domain, I seek an authority who already built everything I want to implement in my life's path. 3) Jealousy is an indication of your desire. This hits me hard. I never felt this until recently when I launched my EdTech startup. Before that, I tried a lot of things: languages, choreography, video production... I've always found a person whom I admired but I've never felt jealous. Only when I started a thing that brings me both money and responsibility (meaning an EdTech startup) I realized that sometimes I'm so frustrated because of jealousy. And it actually sucks. It causes burnout: you watch all of your "market rivals" and frequently find out that the features you want to put into your product development are already there made by them in their products. I think that's a great indicator that your product can be better however I'm really bad in terms of handling this feeling. 4) Realise your interest board through incremental changes This one is funny. I have a pinboard on my wall. And I pinned a physical copy of my EdTech project's material right there. It's funny whenever I wake up I see this piece of paper on my wall and it reminds me of work I should do 😇

Your family dynamics is similar to mine. Now as an adult, I still expect familial support. I am trying to break this habit of codependency and stand up for myself!

I am a dreamer but my problem not that I don't taking action. my problem is I feel I'm not motivated to work on my dream. any tips?
@bri_wky6 күн бұрын
Hello my dear💓, try asking yourself/journal these questions: 1. Why your dream is your dream? Is the dream coming from a place of society’s expectation or your truest authentic self? 2. What is stopping you? (Procrastination, self-doubt, financial struggles, “unrealistic” not having a strong sense of purpose…) Identify the root cause (usually a belief) and start doing inner work to unblock that belief, then replace old belief with a new one that align with your soul the most💝 Hope this helps🙏
