She didn't leave because she was hated or un-appreciated. The American dream doors opened. Will she pack and leave America when someone writes in social media something she doesn't like? It is her choice not to go back - love them $$ which she could not make in Kenya

It’s unfortunately that her point is showing in the comments. Maybe as a society it’s time to check and ask, why would someone feel that way. Yes she’s Kenyan. She probably loves what that means to her. But she is right, there are many haters and colorism is rife.

Not to negate Elsa's negative experience but the danger with generalisations or one single story is to assume that this is how it is with all Kenyans but its not . Most popular female comedians in KE( Mamito, Adhis, Awinjaa) all are dark skinned and I've never heard self hate comedy from them.

Forbes there is a Kenyan lady by the name #Rono...look for her kindly..she has the same content as Elsa but the original version,Elsa just copied her creativity, she has this much hatred for Kenyans instead of being greatful for borrowing someone's else's creative mind who happens to be Kenyan. No one appreciates someone who disowns their place of origin. Yes you have all the fame you got, it's okay you also got a little pride that came with fame and money..but you fail when you confidently talk badly about your country of origin. You will die and your remains will be buried in Kenya, remember that?!

I don't think anyone is going to read this, but just by chance if Forbes staff do, here's a bit of advice. Forbes is known for its prestigious reputation, as an authority. For examples, 'The Forbes List'. So, I suggest you guys stick with your brand, and stop diminishing it's value, Forbes, is known for being 'The Most Prestigious'. Go back to showcasing the best of the best of the best, not simpletons, unknowns, fads and fleeting trends. It would be better for Forbes to start an extension line of brands under the Forbes umbrella, each with its own specific and direct focus. Because, surely Forbes will end up being swept away by the waves of new comers and older brands. GQ is a good example of a legacy brand sticking to its 'why'. Forbes has forgotten its 'Why' or has hired too many 'young' new generation employees, that don't know or don't care about its original mission/vision.
