It's always great to hear updates and see that you're doing well. Thank you for all of your hard work, your love of photography, and for being such a transparent and relatable person. I'm still a solo content creator providing for my family on a single income as a full-time content creator. So, when you were talking about the mental and physical effort it takes, I felt that in my soul. Best of luck with your new job, and I'm happy to hear things are looking up for you. ❤

Very tough decisions having to balance creativity and a solid pay check, all whilst trying to look after yourself. Andrew, since I first started watching you and Denae years ago, I have learned so much and have always loved your absolute honest and engaging approach towards whatever you do. I’ve watched you rise and fall and rise again as you changed your focus, never afraid to do so. This will be no different, I’m sure. I wish you success, contentment and improved health as you go forward. When you’re ready to make videos, we will be here, but do it for you, to fuel that fire within you. You know, of all the stuff you’ve done, the solo one I loved the most was when you took a trip on your motorcycle documenting the small towns. That was truly unique and so very you, I thought. Yes, I avidly watch your gear reviews, but for sheer joy of photography, that bike trip video will always be hard to beat in my eyes. All the very best, my friend, onward and upward to everything you deserve. Much love to you all ❤

Congratulations on your new job. That's great! I can really relate to creative activities taking a lot of effort. I used to do a lot of photography - often on the way home from work - in my former job as well as during the first couple of years of my current job. Over time, I have seen all my (more experienced) colleagues replaced with new ones, and of course it has resulted in my job getting more demanding. As it happens I also struggle with (chronic) health issues, so my current job situation isn't ideal. I still carry a camera with me every day, but I rarely find the energy required to use it - and worse still, I don't notice interesting subjects like I used to. But, when I do get out a camera, it is still as satisfying to use as it has always been for me. Anyway, all the best to you and your family.

Take care of your health and body first Andrew, that's most important thing to you and your family. I'm only doing KZbin part time (average 20-30 hours a week) but I can understand how tough it is if I need to do it full time! Especially when you rely on it to feed you and your family. It's no fun at all when something doesn't go according to the plan and there is a lot of pressure and it's much much harder than doing the normal 9-5 job! Get well soon that's most important!

Hi Andrew, I'm a consistent follower but don't comment often. Thank you so much for all your hard work and I am sending good thoughts your way to a life of better health and prosperity. That's really challenging to have to temporarily halt your dream. You never know what can happen! In 2008 I had to leave full-time contract work because of the economy. I got an offer for full-time work in a similar arena as yours and 15 years later, I have no regrets. I'm now doing art for art's sake. I have more time for cycling, music and photography - plus gear. As info, if you ever run into a jam again, we do hire UX designers and jobs are mostly remote. Take care Andrew and best of luck.

Good luck Andrew. I must admit I was concerned that running a KZbin channel to support your family was a tough load to take on. Many KZbinrs I follow seem to be either single or without children - making it easier to pay their bills from the KZbin income. And of course so many get burnt out chasing the algorithm - KZbin burnout videos seem to be an ongoing theme recently. Glad you got a job, as a techie myself I’ve been trying to land an engineering job for over a year with no luck. Found some freelancing work in the meantime, but man it’s tough out there. But anyway glad you are in a better place and good luck for the future.

How does the algorithm feel about super boring titles? At least you didn't spoil anything with the title like every single one of the Olympics highlight videos did. I've been writing almost every day for the last 2 years and yeah, no matter how much you love something, it can get old and exhausting. Not sure I ever want to do it for money. I suspect that would kill my desire to write altogether.
