Watching this video on the 7th anniversary of Hurricane Irma. Thank you for everything you all did for us after the storm. For me personally you brought a sense of connection to the outside world and made me feel a little less alone. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the military walking around with their guns and sleeping in the stores down at the pier park and nanny cay. We’ve come along way from the destruction but we still carry that day with us.

This makes me proud and thankful the combined force have been onsite strategically and tactically dealing with the devastation. Assisting the islanders and showing the best British spirit of humanitarian help. Well done to those of the British army, airforce, navy and marines involved.

As a tax payer, i would like to see more Naval ships and more work around globe like this. Royal Navy should be invested in heavy! There will come a day, when the world will need the Royal Navy again

They do mate, we don't hear cos 90% of stuff is secret and out of eyes cos we don't want people to know the full capability, ex royal engineer myself never did stuff like this but attached engineers are like gods in my eyes so these guys doing this are just as much gods in green 😁

The work they done was amazing. One question though. From the air shots of Mounts Bay, why was she unarmed ? Normally carries 2x phalanx ciws but can't see them fitted

Our girls and boys are simply amazing! Why have we not retrofitted proper aviation facilities to the Bay class yet? And surely it would be useful to have a merlin/chinook on board for heavy lift. I know wildcat is strong but the other aircraft would be better for load carrying leaving the wildcat for recon

Well done guys and girls. its a shame that our government is decommissioning HMS Ocean, a totally political decision not an operational one.
