I love and miss my Crown Vic. I am a member of the RCMP and look back on the Crown Vic with genuine nostalgia. Yes she wasn't the fastest nor the most nimble but the little things that the boys mentioned in passing is what made this car so special. The seats were wide like couches, not because of a diet of donuts and mountain dew (yuk!) but because of the gear we carry. I've sat in my own personal vehicle with my gear on and my holster impinges on the seat belt and handcuffs, flashlight, etc dig into the seat. That wide seat allowed me to hit the seat belt button and exit very quickly when needed through the wide opening doors. The new Ford Police Interceptor based on the Taurus have very small interiors compared to the Crown Vic. Even the smallest members have difficulty entering and exiting with grace. And having rear wheel drive, even in wintery Canada, was a blessing. Being able to bust a u-turn with the tail swinging out allowed you to stay in the lane, unlike the understeering AWD Taurus that would put you in the shoulder. And the sound of that V8 under acceleration .... boy does that bring back memories! Good job gentlemen!!!!

External Oil cooler ran off of the radiator hose, so it runs cooler (only available on police interceptors, not civilian models). 4. I remember when this model debuted. The first time I saw one was on the TV Show, "Dawson's Creek". Pacy's older brother, a town deputy, drove it. in some scenes. The molded headlights and sleek body made it look really modern. Lord I'm so old!

Such a beautiful car. The exhaust note in these are just right. Just enough noise. Honestly sounds better than the Hemi Charger pursuit. Have a 12 charger and 11 Vic. Stock vs stock the Vic. Sounds better.

It also has a high output alternator to accommodate the high current draw from the lightbar and extra accessories, which is why you see so many kids with huge stereo systems in these. You need a high output alternator to power bigger subs and this comes with a free $800 alternator upgrade.

I have a 2010 CVPI/P7B and it is a blast to drive. Comfortable, very reliable, and being an ex undercover car people tend to move out of the way or slow down when they see it coming. Performance wise it doesn't touch my Mercedes-AMG, but those 4.6 2V last damn near forever while keeping the parts spend low. Not saying my Mercedes-AMG isn't reliable as it has been, but I have a unique love for the P7B and the Mercedes-AMG.
