Ford Cummins conversion with stock TCM and 5R110 transmission

Hi. I was wondering what would be needed to put a 5r110 in my 97ram 12v. I really like the 5r110.

have a 5.9 out a 97 dodge that Was put in a 2009 f550. It’s eating up belts plus the belt is super tight I mean I never had a serpentine belt that is this tight. The accessories are from the f550. But the belt is design for a 97 Cummins. Im thinking I need to go smaller on a pulley and help will be greatly appreciated.

I’m using f250 superduty 2006 chassis - not using ford body and 6.0 engine I am installing a 1987 gmc 4 door square body on chassis with 1995 12 valve , do y’all offer wiring harness for the stock trans pcm I can use and tune

I was wondering if i can install a 5r110 on a 7.3. The 4r100 sucks. Its weak, the shiftpoints suck, and 5 gears are better than 4 gears while towing on the highway. How can i make this happen

Correct. Just an SCT for an interface device and DCS tuning for the transmission, all with the stock TCM and harness.

I just bought a 2008 f350 with a blown engine. I want to put a more fuel efficient/ bulletproof 😃 that f350 with a 2006 dodge Cummins engine. I will be doing all the work myself. I see I can keep my transmission, with the adapter plate. Where can I buy the harness and gas pedal computer? Once installed how do I get it programmed? Thank you

Will this option work with a 94 dodge 2500 12v. I got the complete drivable truck as a donor for my 12v swap into my 05 f250 4x4 6.0L powerstroke. I have a sct live wire programmer. Will my 5r110 work with this older engine.

If you put a Cummins in will it pass a state emissions test will the check engine light be off

On 6.0's the CEL is off, on 6.4's, depending on the engine mods and tune the light may or may not be off. The SCT tuner is to interface the trans, we don't have software to access the EGR, DPF, etc.

Can this be done with a 2008 v10 powered truck with 5r110? thinking of repowering truck. On average how many times does the trans shift tune need to be changed to get it right? Some days the truck runs empty and some days it's pulling 20k . how does one tune cover the wide range of loads?

Our SCT tuning is currently only applicable on former 6.0 or 6.4 Ford trucks. The gas powered Ford PCMs just are not-conversion friendly with stock tuning. And unfortunately the gas trucks cannot be changed to a diesel PCM as the cluster and other body circuits are not compatible. . Our recommendation has been to switch to a 4R100 and a US Shift controller. The 4R is every bit as strong and has the same overdrive ratio as a 5R110. The 4R bolts right to the t-case in place of the 5R.

Physically yes, but the commercial/mid size trucks have a different cam grind, pump gov'nr, injects etc, so potentially less than desirable performance in a pickup. 100K shouldn't really be an issue.

Hey Marc. It can be tuned with either a stock or lower stall, most customers use the stock converter but we do have some that opt for the 1600-1800 stall.
