I purchased Ford Freestyle Trend variant 3 months ago. This is a mid variant segment. My God!! What an awesome car. Tremendous power, great pickup, lovely to handle, good mileage and awesome features like sync 3 infotainment system, sensors, reverse parking, camera and above all with very good safety features. All this and more with a price of 7 L only. ( on-road ) Ford Freestyle should not be compared with I20, Swift and others. This is way above them all. Great awesome value for money.

Im not sure about the space . The wheelbase is more in the freestyle . You didn't even talk about boot space. Leg room . Underthigh support. True ignis is more radically designed car still it's not something you'll buy for design alone. Other reviews suggest vague steering in the ignis. The freestyle I'm still looking for an expert suggestion

Debasish Mohapatra For the freestyle? I do not own one but the diesel engine is quite fuel efficient (both in city and highway).No idea about the petrol but it should give you around 12-13 in the city and about 16-17 on the highway.

Nazaar Mohamed with price gap between petrol and diesel is less than 8 rupees(in my city Kolkata), unless your annual running is more than 15000 km there is no sense in buying an oil burner despite the diesel being more efficient and better engine response in bumper to bumper traffic.

The decision is split ? come ON! the Ignis looks like an auto rickshaw from the back , pathetic rear end design, only the front looks good, while the Freestyle is a more balanced design, Interior space is better, but how about comfort, the pathetically flimsy lean seats and the crappy plastics inside that bent even with a 50 kg persons hand resting on it, this is what Maruti offers you as a PREMIUM car, its time people realize what kind of shit people are buying in the name of hyped up reliability and service costs and service center availability. Yes I drive a Ford but that dosent mean I hate all other cars, for eg, new Honda Amaze is fantastic and is any day way better compact sedan than Dzire and Aspire and xcent, the new diesel CVT is peach... The Elite i20 according to me is a superb premium hatch, The Honda City is a great car specially the back seats, SO its not like I hate all other brands, but Suzuki is just keeping on cheating Indians , not all of their products are bad, the worst selling Suzuki the S cross is actually their best car, Ciaz too is a good car, Ignis, Alto, Wagon R, etc are just plain craps

New Hyundai i10 grand nios is best in segment because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highways. Value for money package. This is my ownership experience sharing with you guys.

I purchased IGNIS ALPHA AMT on 25 May 2018. Before buying I even test drove FREESTYLE. It’s awesome too.. It’s not the budget that matters for merely 50k difference. The thing that mattered to me is FORD. Actually FORD range starts from ECOSPORT. Below that all the product line has a short lifespan. Adding on it is the availability of spares for the shutdown models of FORD. It’s my thought and it’s not a matter of debate.

the fact is that ignis is properly made for city use.. good practicality and front seat comfort.. zip zap zoom through city roads. i find sudpension to be slightly hard and steering to be vague.. but light steering is mainly for city roads.. parking ignis is breeze..

Freestyle is Better equipped, has better petrol and diesel engines, has more features on top variant including 6 airbags , the Ground clearance of Freestyle is actually one thats usable unlike Etios cross etc where the ground clearance is just gimmick, one can cater really bad roads much better in Freestyle than n Etios Cross, reverse cam etc from trend variant onwards These are just few observations, The only real reason Etios has an advantage over freestyle is that it has got a 4* GNCAP rating which Figo lacked , Figo and Freestyle might get only 3* while Etios has 4* owing to a slightly more stable structure, elsewhere the Freestyle is clear winner

Ponygt 662 well u just admitted that 4 cap rating thing, so it does not makes sense even for free style to have 6 airbags. And more importantly rating are not given based on structural integrity of vehicle, its purely based on the damage that the occupant experience in a crash. So even with 2 airbags etios just aced it. I don't know how come u can't know the Toyotas engine, they are always the gem. I have been personally in a quails which has already driven 4.5lakh kms it was smooth still. The easiest example is to ask the owners of Innova as well for their engine. D4D diesel engine is world famous, and they are one pioneer in it. Of course ford has a one better engine option 1 liter ecoboost engine, that had been completely built in Germany. I don't know you get that engine variant in this vehicle. These reverse parking sensors and those extra gimmicks will not cost you more than 25k aftermarket. Etios has already proved to be better car, as they are now driven by more taxi people. The low cost of maintenance, after Sales and service, and reliability of Toyota trumps other vehicles. It has some negative aspect in terms of interior dash board and looks. This is mainly because they want to build cars that has to last long and stay as then forever. If u say middle console or speedometer is bad, then won't you buy a Tesla car provided given you the option. My overall, if u want a hassle free, fill it shut it drive it type, low maintenance, better reliability then buy Toyota.

3 cylinder engine vs 4 cylinder engine can anyone explain

The cylinder count is less but the cc remains same ie 1200, so in effect its a longer stroke per cylinder which means better low end torque, and due to lighter cylinders it revs faster and higher All in all way better than most other 4 cylinder engines in this price range, but probably not as rev happy as Suzuki 1.2 i4, but definitely better than Hyundais 1.2 i4 and all other 1.2 i4s including Hondas 1.2 i4

Yes i3 make more sound not necessarily NOISE, A sound becomes a noise when its unrefined , thankfully the Ford Dragon i3 is refined so it gets a sporty sound rather than an annoying noise Fuel consumption and wear and tear are better controlled in 3 cylinder engines than 4 cylinder engines and whatever you read is probably not applicable to all 3 cylinder engines
