I'm a 65 y.o. woman on a limited budget. Ford house wanted $114 to replace this bulb last week when I went in because of an airbag recall. I said, 'No thank you" and bought a bulb for $16. I just put it in- thank you so much for a great video! The hardest part was finding a squatty enough phillips head, that is a very tight space.

@@bswyeldell i love that they can replace my airbag but cannot fix the dashboard around the airbag simply coming right up, because it would "require replacing the dashboard" instead of gluing it down thank you ford, surely gluing it down is "more dangerous" than having it in the way if the airbag deploys

@Subadanus. That’s exactly what mine did too. Mine is all pulling up also and my dash light is telling me to remove objects from dash airbag. Ridicules

You just saved me a TON a frustration and cussing...LO The first time I've had to change ANY bulb since I bought it new in 2006!! The access panel says "Bulb Access"...and it's the SAME for the Driver's side bulb.... just turn the steering wheel to the right!! Thanks!!

I've changed mine before but since my heat stroke, and over heating my brain.. my memory isn't good at all. I started to take the headlight out yesterday but figured I'd better check the ol YT for the easiest way lol. I'm sure this is how I did it last time but couldn't remember. Thanks for the video Cody, I have short patience on vehicles that are mine lol. Anyone else's I don't mind workin on all day 😂

Wow thank u so much, I took it to a MECHANIC and he said he would have to remove my front bumper to change bulb. Only reason I left was because he said it would take an hour or more 😒 n good thing I did.

I was never able to replace sealed beams in 3 minutes. More like 30. Those things sucked. And they were so dim they'd be illegal now. Thankfully they stopped using those in the 70s.

jhun estrada Yes it's the low beam, not sure what that thing is but it looks like a meter of some kind; it's unnecessary for headlight replacement.

It depends Driver's side headlights _ low and high beams. Not required to unscrew As removing that bulb access cover is not needed. Only the passenger side is to clusterd. Go in from the engine bay to access Driver's side headlights and blinker too.

I have an 08 ford fusion. I replaced the headlights with some LED'S i bought off ebay. They look great. But my dash board keeps displaying "check left and right headlight". I dont know how to take that message off. Any advice pleas?

Buy better bulbs with resistors already installed or do the electrical work of adding 1 to each light yourself.

Yeah. You’ll run through lights if you don’t a retrofitted kit to run those kinds of lights.

I easily accessed the bulb but could not get the electrical connector off with one hand. My two hands wouldn't fit. My daughter was able to get both hands through the access and replaced the bulb.

Mine is the hybrid, it doesn't have that panel, apparently it has to be done by the dealer. I really miss the older cars when you could just open the hood, it's a light bulb, it shouldn't have to be done by a mechanic. So frustrated with Ford right now 😤

Only works if you have tiny hands. Fiddled with it for 30 minutes and a beat up hand later said screw it.
