A bi-xenon projector is used in the retrofit and the projector can hold D1S bulbs. So you will keep the bi-xenon function and you can keep using the D1S bulbs.
The bi-xenon/solenoid cable is plugged in at 5:17.
The leveling system is mounted to the complete inner part of the headlight and is not part of the projector itself. Because of this, nothing is done/changed to the leveling system and it keeps working just like it did before the retrofit.

This kit also fits the Ford Focus MK 2,5 xenon projector headlights, but with the Focus, the headlight needs to be opened, which is quite hard.

In this video we replace the original projector by a new high quality Aharon TL-r bi-xenon projector. The light output is very poor and a previous 'repair guy' (not us!) placed the D1S bulbs upside down. After a new projector and a correct bulb mounting light output is improved significantly.

Any MOT testers watching…if I replace my xenon projectors with these, will I fail the MOT? I know it should technically, but is any tester likely to notice it without splitting the headlight?

I saw rubber spacers on the movie. How long they are? Is there any difference between them in lenght? I'm asking because I'm not sure if the bulb position would be correct or some position adjustment is needed?

Hello! How do you achieve correct HID bowl position after the swap? It have to be aligned with high beams and cornering lights. Is there any measurement to keep? (HID plane defined by nuts on bolts. But how many turns each when normally those are spring-loaded)

The position is kept the same as the original (ok, maybe there will be differences of 0,1 mm). And the spacers are used for the distance from the front. And that distance is also not very important, as long as it's the same across the mounting points so it doesn't 'tilt' and by using the same spacers, it is kept the same.

@@Retrofitlab I bought the kit. I'm waiting for it to arrive. but still I don't understand how you can increase the light by moving the headlight 10mm backwards? I just think that the light is concentrated more centrally and is lost laterally? I'm right?

My headlight projector lens is broken and i need it fixed for the inspection, i have a spare halogen headlight, is it possible to out the projector assembly into the halogen casing?
