More reliable transmission has a cost of its own. Supercharger won't help you much in technical curcuits with short straights either. Weird price difference you got there, the difference between GT PP1 with Magneride and active exhaust is 3.5k USD (5k AUD) in the USA. There is a lot of people commented from the US. FYI this is an Australian video. We dont have the pleasure/ nor the luxury of parts for these cars. Everything is imported. The 20k upgraded MACH1 is in Australian Dollars (14K US) There is 3 variants in this country GT Bullet and a handful of MACH only 700 will be brought to this country. They have landed and no more are coming. FYI, for us to import the added parts for a standard GT, it would probably cost well over double and then we will need have the parts installed. we need to consider the following. Lead-time, Delivery charge import tax/Duty and then the horrible exchange rate. Then we need to pay someone to install them! This is not the US and the rules/regulations are completely different here. So yes this is an exceptional car for what we get here & its approved by the local roads authority/state government to be allowed on our roads.

As a Mustang enthusiast and driver for the past one decade, I would say that it isn’t worth to spend $20K on a Mach for such a small difference in speed. If I calculate the whole thing it won't even cost more than $5K even with the exterior changes that they are saying causes more downforce and what not. I can buy every single one of these things from reputable companies and still save money. And what are you talking about making the money back in 5 years? And fyi I am not talking to you about the resale value of your car. I am here talking whether we are getting more bang for the buck if we get a 2021 Mach 1 compared to a 2021 and I don't think we are. With Steeda suspension upgrades on my 2019 pp1 GT, i should be tied with a stock Mach 1

Great comparison. It would be interesting to try it with Magneride on a GT though just to see how that would close the gap, Either way on the road it would be near impossible to separate them anyway, so unless you intend to go on a track it's not worth paying the extra unless you really want the more garish looks of the Mach 1. Just get a GT and add Magneride.

Great video and twin test idea. I'd like to see something like a 'half price heroes' and have, for example, Mustang v gr86 (when it arrives). Or Tesla model 3 v Nissan Leaf - for massive lols

I want to change the suspensions for my 5.0 but dont know what to choose. It feels like it have a heavy tail and the rear suspension is too soft
@jackgibb16 Жыл бұрын
can i just point out Chris that you had the shift point set to 6k in the GT but 7k in the Mach 1.. this might explain the difference in the top end rpm you was explaining. also on your onboard lap you didnt ever once rev the GT past 6,4k rpm it doesnt make peak power until 7k

And some of that 20k goes to the looks as well, which is better. Is there an on road review because most people would drive it on road?

*Here in the Us the Mach1 start at $58k us and a nice GT is $47k now with COVID bs the Mach1 is $72k that’s a lots money for a Mustang,no go*

Anyone can buy a Mach 1 for 2% under invoice, which is far below sticker price.

Ok everyone all you have to do is go out and find a 2018-2020 Mustang GT with the Performance Package 1 or 2 and they still had the 460 HP 5.0 V8 and 420lb-ft of torque before Ford detuned the GT engine around 2021 to market the Mach 1 as the better car for $20,000 more.
@hendersonjohnson37502 жыл бұрын
Your GT did not have the performance pack 1 or 2 and no magna plane suspension. Also I’d like the track test with the automatic.
@MsMischievous20222 жыл бұрын
Your also missing the handling package on the Mach 1 and your also driving the European version granted it’s the same version on both cars. I really enjoyed the video !

You really did the car a disservice by short-shifting. Unless there is a fundamental difference in the map the AUS spec car is running compared to the US Spec car, you should be winding it all the way to the redline. I've owned an '18 and '20 (US Spec) and can 100% confirm, these cars want to rev.

Id love to see a test with the performance package and one without.

WTF? Why are you shifting so early on the GT? You have the shift lights configured 1000 RPM lower than you did in the Mach 1?
@eyecontrol49002 жыл бұрын
the gt has the Mt82, which has had known lockout problems, when shifting too high on the revs.

I want to see this test done with a handling pack mach 1. I dont believe the handling pack is an option for export cars. Such a big difference

Its the same exact engjne .. Just different intake manifolds and cold air intake
@caseymurray77222 жыл бұрын
Honestly there's only a $7000 difference between the two. A mustang gt with the performance pack, active exhaust and magneride (which all come standard on the mach 1) is $48000 where the mach 1 is $55000. The track times proves its better but is the shifter, badging, and other small upgrades worth the 7k?
@jamesthomas49192 жыл бұрын
Soon as you said the GT did not have Magna ride, you botched the test for me. Most of that track difference was just the magna drive. No way you can feel any engine gains and same to Trans. Mach 1 is a cash grab...thanks you tried to sale it..

U should do Mustang Mach 1 vs Mustang R Spec cuz i wanna see which one is better

Why didn’t you take a mustang GT premium performance with magnetic suspension. I have it’s awesome and pretty nice to x pipe it and tune
@sandrovarrocci3603 жыл бұрын
you were short shifting the whole time , why ?
@thullraven13 жыл бұрын
If you are having track days and can afford it, get the Mach 1. If you mostly use your ride as a daily driver, save your money and get the GT. The price difference is too much to justify on just a daily driver. I have a slightly modded GT as my daily driver. For my track days, I use a Ferrari 488.

Get has automatic rev matching? Since when?
@robertct06 Жыл бұрын
If you have rev matching on don’t rev match yourself. I noticed every time I did that I would miss gears. Something about you rev matching throws off something in the electronics and transmission synchronization
@thedon9670 Жыл бұрын
thanks for telling the world you are a crap driver lol
@robertct06 Жыл бұрын
@@thedon9670 no. I meant turn off rev matching. I should’ve just said that lol. When you have rev match on and you try to rev match yourself it doesn’t like that
