SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS
When this vehicle first rolled through, it was certainly in rough shape. It honestly started off as a Deep Clean Detail on the exterior and interior, but that QUICKLY changed due to my wanting to chase perfection. I'm glad we did though because it was stunning afterwards.
Once the owner gave me the all clear for some extra time with the Ford Ranger, I went to TOWN. And all it took was my curiosity getting the better of me. But sure enough, after a test spot with the polisher, there was gorgeous paint underneath! The removal of the oxidation with the Yellow Rupes Pad & Sonax Perfect Finish revealed an insanely sick Blue Metallic that had so much clarity + depth. It was wild...
After all of the polishing we buttoned things up with some Stoner's Products (Found just beneath this description). That being their Liquid Ceramic Wax and their Trim Shine Ceramic Coating. Both awesome products, plus it was a joy to use wax once again. Just a really really cool vehicle to bring back to life. A disaster detail yes, kind of like a barn find restoration but from the woods! So much fun.

That’s my favorite color they ever used!! However, I’d love to see a high gloss olive green on a Ford ranger! Especially 4 x 4 with a two or 3 inch lift!

What's the dilution ratio of your apc you have in the spray bottle to do your trim pieces before your contact wash.

So for the Hand Pump spray bottle I believe it was 4:1, in the regular green spray bottle, it’s diluted 1:1 for a much stronger cleaner at directed areas. Hope this helps!

anyone else notice when ford discontinued the 83 to 2011 ranger, their reliability & quality began to slowly avalanche.ford couldnt have a 15k dollar truck going 300k miles.nowdays fords can barely get thru warrenty without 50 recalls.ford motor company is NOT our fathers & grandfathers ford. that was when quality was job 1. BEFORE being replaced by GREED. i never sell my old RELIABLE fords.

How is spring foam all over the vehicle not a waste of money!? I find get vehicles get perfectly clean the old-fashioned way by hosing it down and then Ing it with car wash and then waxing it! And sometimes using a clay bar.

Honestly I really really like the iK for foaming solutions. You can swap out tips for regular spray if you want. But if you don’t care about foam, then I recommend the Marolex Industry Ergo. That’s the one I’m using for the pretreatment. Awesome sprayer!
