Ford Transit 2.2 TDCI Engine Rebuild - Part 2 - Fitting Timing Chain And Cylinder Head

The Engine had knocking noise, turned out to be piston 3 getting stuck in the engine block and the connecting rod breaking the sump spacer and the block.

Where did you get your torque sequence? Should always work from middle out.

buen canal , saludos desde España, I have a query, my problem is that they repaired my motor and I don't know if they put the correct motor. my van is a transit 2.2 tdci from 2012 euro 5 engine code PGFA I have had a rebuilt qvfa engine from 2007 euro4. it would be correct?

Hi, its hard to identify. The oil pump, crankshaft and some auxilaries are different. The engine on the other hand varies from 100bhp to 150bhp. The engine block has manufacture date. If you can identify that, you may verify which year the engine is. Hope it helps.

@@E-Mechanic My van is manufactured in 2011 euro 5 with a pgfa type engine. After the break they put a rebuilt qvfa euro 4 engine dated 2007 according to what it says on the block. my question is if the mounted motor is correct?
