I remember my parents having a 2003 Chevrolet Impala LS with the 3800 series 2 V6 engine. We had it until 2013 when we traded it in on a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country. Best car with the best engines ever made. Also, our Impala was in a beige exterior with a tan leather interior. I sure do miss that car :(.

Michael Mohrle Well actually that Impala LS is owned by a Jamaican guy he's currently the 3rd owner & he has had that car for a couple years I really don't know who bought it new back in 2004 the Jamaican guy bought that car from the 2nd owner & he's currently the 3rd owner & he takes good care of it he likes that car & he calls it his baby.

The transmissions on these cars were done for by 70 000 miles. Even if you changed the fluid and filter every 25,000 miles you still had problems. New transmissions at the time were $3,500.00. The ABS Traction Control Modules also would go, and that cost $1,750.00 to replace. The steering racks would leak every 3 years, and would cost $1,200.00 to replace.

I’ve got an 02 Buick Regal LS same tranny as that Impala I did a review on a while back anyway about my Buick the transmission has a bit of a shift issue when 2-3 shift once it’s warm and gets to 3rd gear my Rpm’s are Dropping really slow what could be the problem? My transmission fluid is clean. It’s full. It’s not low. I already checked the fluid yesterday. I scanned for any codes. What could the problem be?

It was what it was back when these first came out Now they are Garbage I used to own a base red color 2004 impala back in 2007 yes it was only a few years old but I must say it was Waaayyyy Underpowered for a Chevy icon nothing will Ever beat the 1963 1964 impalas that's the truth !!
