I moved from London to the countryside 3 years ago, but even back then, when city was my home, I subconsciously gravitated towards trees. London has many beautiful parks, and I had a small one 10 minute walk away, where I'd go whenever life felt a little too much. There was also a time when I lived about an hour away from any type of park, so I went around the neighbourhood and looked at people's front yards full of blooming flowers - that alone was a lovely experience, somehow connecting me to nature even through so little. "Forest Bathing" is just a term - while a woodland is ideal, I know that not all of us have access to them. It can be a park, a botanic garden, or your favourite tree in the neighbourhood. Any place that has even a smallest patch of nature can be healing. 🌿 Do you have your own favourite spot to "forest bathe"?

Aww ❤ it’s like reading about myself as I used to live in London and connect with nature that way . Now I am lucky to be surrounded by woods and nature 🌸 My favorite way is walking barefoot in the beach sand or in the grass looking at the sky and trees 🫶✨

Nature is the soul's balm. I love going to nearby woods, and as you referred to 'bath' in nature. I feel at peace, watching the flowers, looking at the birds and insects, aware of the scents and calming melody of all that is living. From my heart, I send you a grateful and comforting hug and thank you for sharing these wonders with us. Take care.

I absolutely adored this video Daria, it really resonated with me. Woods, particularly bluebell woods are my favourite places on the planet. Beautiful woods! I feel a very deep connection to trees. When I was suffering through depression, I started drawing trees in black ink, their bark, branches, often broken and regrown. This ritual of looking for trees to draw and then making the drawings stayed with me, beyond the depression. Shinrin yoku (forest bathing) became my very own habit through which I not only started following my neglected creative soul but also reconnected with my inner playful self. I get so much inspiration from the presence of trees.

Hi there! New friend here from Portugal, Europe! 🙋🏼♀️ Just found your channel and fell in love with your videos! ❤ I dream of leaving the city and moving to the countryside! 🙏 Cities like Lisbon here in Portugal are not what they used to be.... even with parks or nature nearby, the truth is that you can't have peace or enjoy nature because there are so many people, cars and noise and stress 😢 that it became absolutely awful to live in a city, even though, of course, we have all the services that we need nearby!🤷🏼♀️ Loved watching your video! Thanks for sharing!🙏♥️♥️♥️

🌲✨😌🌳 What a beautiful video, Daria! 😍 I could feel the calming presence of the trees! 🌱💚🌿 That's what I feel when I forest bathe. 😊 The trees, as the kind and noble beings they are. (I feel for them, I'm like an Ent! 😅) 😊Your words are so true! It is said there was a time when a squirrel could go across Spain from North to South without ever having to touch the ground, just moving from branch to branch. Things have, obviously, changed since ancient times, but I belong to the green Northern Spain, where I can see the forest from my window, and trees still retain their strong ancestral meaning. I see them as my friends, and they give me strength and purpose. Thank you so much for this video, and congratulations again for the success of your wonderful channel, Daria! 🙏👏👏👏🤗🥰😘

It's sad really that there are places in this world where nature is not really a thing much. Concrete jungles are not a natural place for us so I do agree with you - it's a sad notion that nature is not as accessible nowadays and could almost be considered a privilege to an extent. Glad you mentioned parks and any other natural places apart from forests as it might not be quite the same but still very important. My hope is that people do care about nature and parks wherever they are! Lovely video and thank you for sharing such a wonderful concept. ❤

Thank you so much! 🌿 You are right, it’s a sad reality really. Forest Bathing is basically just a term, and the action itself can be done anywhere where there is any kind of nature! But I do really hope people will reconnect with the natural world again some day ✨

I couldn’t agree more that nature has become a privilege. I would love to move to the country but to buy the same type house I live in would cost me 3 times more plus I’d have to pay more to commute. It’s just not possible and what makes matters worse is the very few fields and trees around me are being turned into new build estates. The way England is turning into one giant housing estate just makes me sad.

Ooh this is so bad they make people pay for natural spaces like these! I understand these are often maintenance fees, but really nature should be available to everyone! One of my fondest memories of my homeland England was walking in a wood where the whole ground was covered with Bluebells - an amazing sight! Forest bathing can be very comforting. Unfortunately you repeat in this video and in others that you have had one or more "burnouts". Was this self-diagnosis or did you hear this from your doctor? The term "burnout" is not to be used lightly! Burnout is very serious and with treatment, it may take six months or more to recover. Many times, the term "burnout" is used in place of "depressed". People don't like to admit to being depressed, whereas "burnout" is just considered as being overworked and stressed. Please, no offence - I enjoy your videos!
