Hey man! Just wanted to drop some progress for ya! Since I bought a 100 pound sandbag in the beginning of the year, I’ve gotten up to 150 pounds for 3 reps each side of Ground To Shoulder and now at 170 pounds and starting off at 1 again currently. But I’ve found something that I truly enjoy, and it’s right in my backyard! I’ve also put on some serious muscle and weight with a calorie surplus and finally hit 200 pounds personally. And it’s all thanks to finding your channel brother❤️ thank you for putting out content my man🤝

I would train my back and shoulders a few times a week. Picking up boxes and furniture and putting them overhead on a lift gate 4-6 days a week after having shoulder pain and slight back aches. When Fall came in and moves started to slow down, I would train shoulders almost everyday. After watching many of your videos, I make it a goal/commitment to train back atleast 6 days a week. It really helps alot doing daily activities and lifting heavy weights or objects. I know what you mean by your back just feels solid. There's nothing like working out outside in the woods, open land, etc with plenty of things to do. I have 25-50lb stones that I carry around with only my fingers to build and maintain grip strength. So that's my start in the stone lifting community!

@@thestonecircle I would say life not being full of unnatural stresses like bills, social media, working a 9-5 and not living in a world where the food and water is contaminated with plastics/toxins due to excess human pollution would definitely leave people in a better baseline mental state. Also I would say our large society is unnatural and being in a smaller village/tribal setting is more mentally healthy for a multitude of reasons. I don’t think our brain is designed for a lot of the shit the average person experiences in modern life hence the fact that the majority people seem to suffer some sort of anxiety and or depression issue. Another great video brother! Just an idea on your future workouts, but have you tried incorporating crawls and get ups? Both have so many amazing benefits, but both movements are in the often neglected transverse plane as well as more than one plane of motion. Both use just about the entire body and greatly increase mobility and joint robustness. The crawls especially work contralateral movement which has a ton of benefits for your brain and coordination. It also feels great on my back, especially if it's sore or stiff. But i've been loving doing bear crawls with sandbag pull throughs. For the get ups, i've been using a kettlebell, but will start now with a sandbag to up the challenge and to translate over to my MMA training. I've found that sandbags seem to be the best and most realistic fitness implement that carries over well for mma training imo. Hope all is well and always love seeing your videos!

I've been thinking. The sprint is basically the best full body exercise one can do. But if they weather it's lousy or life gets in the way, I might've found an alternative at home - punching bag. Both are very intense, impact-heavy (sprinting is basically your feet punching the ground), train strength, explosiveness, cardio; and of course, both are highly holistic. And both have a very practical use outside of training as well. (: It's obviously not a 1:1 relationship, but I think it's worth looking into.

Totally gnarly! 🤘 Though I wear only zero drop barefoot shoes when I train (and for everything else), I've still yet to build up my feet callouses to go total barefoot, though, that is in the works. There's just something about it. Something about training outdoors under the trees; under the wide open sky. I suppose it's the total sense of freedom. That, and just being outdoors. 😁 It''s summer. And here in the southeast, though, it's hot as $h!t, half the time, I'll drag my equipment out into the backyard and train out there. Sweat like hell with the sun beating my ass to the ground. But as long as I have sunscreen and proper hydration, I'm good to go. The plus is that the heat doesn't bother me as much anymore as I'm now getting used to it. Anyhow, great commentary, as always. Keep on rockin'! 🤘

okay so i wanna ask you this. Im still young under 16. Is this good for me too? and also i have talked with a coach from some sport i play and when i get a little older he wants to coach me in the gym to with squats and deadlifts and other movements. I probably wont do these workouts with very heavy weight as he and someone else explained pretty good how if your young its better to focus on building that endurance and preparing your body for heavy lifting so when you get olders its easier to do it without injuries (which i have had a lot). My coach said things like pull ups and dips are very good which i will keep doing. And for legs they say to do a lot of things like biking sprinting running footwork and also they want me to do a lot of things like lunges. So this is my question do you think that if i use logs and stuff for some lunges and basic work i wouldnt be doing that heavy weight but would that work good for overall preparing my body for later heavier lifting?

Hey that sounds like some great advice! It really just depends where you're at. If you're trying to work more towards strength endurance rather than max strength, basic Bodyweight might be enough. If you get to the point where Bodyweight is too easy though adding some weight might allow you to reach your goals in a lot less time. It sounds like you have a smart coach I'd listen to him 🙂

@@thestonecircle surely will listen to him. He says to mainly focus on preparing my body for heavier lifting when im 15-16 which i agree with so more about doing exercising and adding some weight. He says that i can try to build more muscle but along side should chose exercises that build my body without having much injury risk at first as he can not coach me yet. still gonna be killing it and no excuse to not train hard!!
Time for some outdoor winter training here soon :)

Hell yeah I'd love to! Pretty much in work 24/7 mode right now but I expect things will slow down a bit soon, definitely want to get out and do some stone lifting!

Lazy, unoriginal attempt at trolling. The person who made this video has found something he is passionate about which just happens to keep him fit while many people in the modern world are either unhealthy in some way , obese, or spend most of their time indoors; and also runs his own business unrelated to fitness, and is sharing his experiences with anyone willing to watch in case they find some benefit out of it.
