With over 25 years of teaching Taiji (Tai Chi) and Qigong and treating people with Acupuncture - Peter’s focus is on helping people to connect to a world beyond living in their mind.

“My background prior to healing was 16 years with the New Zealand Army and 7 of those years in the (SAS), New Zealand Special Forces. I changed my life with Taiji (Tai chi) and Qigong at the age of 28 and went from smoking two packets of camel cigarettes and drinking scotch on the weekends to opening up to a way of life I never knew existed. This practice opened a door for me to see my life and the world in a completely different way. A world of new possibilities. It was so different to what I had ever experienced and what I was brought up to believe. Through the practice of Taiji and Qigong I started experiencing energy in my body which was completely different to the physical strength I’d experienced from being an athlete. And now I share that experience with others.”

Hi Peter thanks for your great video I love standing and have always found it a unique challenge. You are so pleasant you make it seem doable. I will try to remember your smile when I am standing . I enjoyed your variations standing and look forward to experiencing them Cheers

Hello, thank you for this information. For a healthy young man, can you recommend an optimal time period for a practice session? I know this is difficult without direct contact. I have a feeling that by bringing a deeper-than-mind intuition into the daily work will bring the answer on its own, but was just curious if there might be a “sweet spot” from which to begin, especially for a young man with a daily sitting practice and a healthy body. Much gratitude.

Yes it will depend on the person, try to build it up to two minutes per posture per side and then up to 5 minutes and remember that part of the exercise is to let go and discover the stillness inside the exercise Cheers Enjoy , Pete

What about the 8 brocades, is that good for building energy too? Or is this one you show specifically for building chi energy?

Hi many Qigong exercise build energy the Zhan Zhuang qigong system is one that is well known to produce a lot of vital energy cheers, I like the Ba Duan Jin too cheers Pete
