Hi, Thank you so much for this great class! You are sharing so much wisdom and knowledge and this is exactly what I was looking for. I have a chronic illness and will need to break this up into small bits and work on building this practice day by day. doing it all in one go for this amount of time is unfortunately too much for my body. I'm looking forwards to building this practice! Speaking of my illness I have a few questions: (I have POTS which is a dis-regulation of the autonomic nervous system, which means that the automatic processes in my body don't function correctly and gets worse the more upright the body is, one of the main ones being low blood volume and not getting enough blood flow to the brain and other vital organs when standing, as well as tachycardia) 1. I have been bed bound for 4 years now and have very limited standing and sitting time (only 1 minute of standing at a time, sitting about 5 minutes) and my physical therapist recommends doing horizontal exercises as much as possible. However from all I have read standing is actually pretty important to working with the qi. Do you think the practice in this video could be done laying down/sitting or otherwise modified? 3. I probably have a lot of blockages due to chronic pain, being bed bound, bad posture, and not moving around much. Is there anything that would be helpful for this and can be effective even if done for very short times only? 2. Are there any video's or routines you would recommend that could be beneficial for this illness? Thanks again for sharing your wisdom! I will browse more video's in the upcoming days. lots to learn here!

Qigong uses nasal breathing because it works with the parasympathetic nervous system. The parasympathetic nervous system restores the body to a calm and composed state and prevents it from overworking! Breathing through the mouth works with the sympathetic nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system, on the other hand, prepares the body for fight or flight response.

Hi, I have been now doing the warm up (lesson 1 or 2) plus a new lesson each day. This is probably the best structured Qigong course I have encountered so far. A small step at a time, answering many questions I used to have. I can't wait for the next lesson.

Someone of us are semi aware of this sometimes. But a fog washes over you and you go back to your normal day. I’m aware, but we still exist. Our existence is tangible. We are energy, we are sentient. We just live in a different form of reality. And that’s ok.

Sorry Pete, but the part about setting the meridians right doesn't make sense to me. Liv, Ki & Sp are coming up, so bringing them down with the shoulders seems to be the wrong way. To me it would make more sense to bring them up when you are coming up with your body. Can you please clarify?

That was a great experience like floating afterwards energy moving the body. I could not get the part of being on top of the earth and moving the earth horizonatally or the room not sure how to visualize that correctly yet the rest all worked and made the final experience very wonderful. I work with a man that has espondilo listesis a lumbar vertebra that stick out of alignment, he has this for over 30 years i wonder if this would benefit him since it teaches him to not move from the muscles only which constantly protect the area and are very tight, yet be able to feel the movment of energy moving him

How can I heal autoimmune Sjorgens ? Thank you !
@forest_rock_qigong
@forest_rock_qigong Ай бұрын
Autoimmune Sjögren's Syndrome, known in Western medicine as a chronic autoimmune disorder primarily affecting the body's moisture-producing glands, is understood differently in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In TCM, this condition is often associated with imbalances in the body's vital energies, or "Qi," and is typically linked to deficiencies or dysfunctions in the organs responsible for fluid regulation, such as the Spleen, Lung, and Kidney. TCM practitioners might describe Sjögren's Syndrome in terms of Yin deficiency, particularly of the Lung and Kidney, leading to dryness symptoms. They may also consider factors like Blood deficiency or Qi stagnation, which can contribute to the overall imbalance and symptoms experienced by the patient. Treatment in TCM would focus on restoring balance and harmony within the body, often through a combination of herbal medicine, acupuncture, dietary adjustments, and lifestyle changes. The goal is to nourish the Yin, tonify the Qi, and improve the function of the affected organs to alleviate symptoms and improve overall well-being. I hope this helps Cheers Pete

if it takes a lifetime to master qi gong how can you possibly learn to teach someone in a few weeks?
@forest_rock_qigong

interesting comment, you don't have to be a master to teach, the masters get their students to teach to give them experience and confidence. Teachers can usually only teach to the level they are up to to new students who have never practiced Qi Gong before cheers I hope this helps Cheers Pete
