Crazy how Bonds has always been vs the media but here in a sitdown interview with someone hes familiar with , he opens up and the real Barry Bonds comes out. Excellent video & anyone who believes Bonds isn't the greatest player in the last thirty years was sadly mistaken. He played one lifetime game in Toronto & hit an opposite field home run off Halladay in his record breaking season. Just think about this, he got a standing ovation in the visitors ballpark.

there are so many stories out here in California about what he did and how he was when nobody was looking. He's the polar opposite a person that what most people think basically because he could care less about baseball media . talented introvert that did not particularly like the media....really makes you think he loves kids and any real background checking shows that He literally paid for Brian Stows (google him) kids to go to college and asked for that fact to not get out to the media GOAT in the time of great players nobody was close

This cat was in the hall as a Pirate. You wanna put an asterisk after his name? Youll have to put an asterisk after every single slugger in history. No drug ever hit a baseball for anyone. Barry is the smartest player in the history of baseball. He isnt black. He isnt white. No drug made Barry great. Barry was and is greatness out of the womb...and put in the work every day of his life as a student does. A drug doesnt walk a hitter. Fear and knowledge walks a hitter at Barrys level.Barry is the best ball player in history. Barry is relentlessly himself...and always was. Fuck the haters and fuck the racists. Barry is baseball. Deal with it.

This guy is a CHEATER!!!!!...Yes there have been other player's who've used PED'S, Canseco, McGwire, Palmiero, and now Cano of the Seattle Mariner's, just to name a few!...NONE OF THESE CHEATERS SHOULD BE ELECTED TO THE HOF!...And you had to play the race card means either your a BLACK RACIST,...as if there were any other kind, or an ignorant, nieve WHITE LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE whose mentality is the reason our country is in the trouble it's in FOOL!!!!!
@jayfeev215
@jayfeev215 6 жыл бұрын
sonata55 X You didn't pay attention to his post and then chose to go off on a political rant with no basis whatsoever. He said Barry isn't black and Barry isn't white, he is baseball greatness from the womb. Which can be interpreted as anything other than calling this a racial issue. People need to wake the fuck up pay attention and stop seeing what they want to see. Baseball of all sports is home to cheaters. Players like David Ortiz and A-Rod will make the Hall. The issue isn't about whether or not Barry took PEDS, I think most can deduce that he did. It's that he didn't admit it and was unapologetic in his defense of himself during his investigation. Add on his long time horrible relationship with the media and that's a witches brew for him not getting voting in. But here's a question, if you've never failed a test why would you admit to using. Ortiz and A-Rod where caught and forces to apologize (ARod twice) and they will still get in because they said sorry. He'd be a fool to admit he did something he didn't test positive for. This happens in everyday society everyday but we manage to overlook those situations and focus on sports because of the money they make. This is a joke and baseball suffers as a result simply because some "purists" can't seem evolve.
@TheBatugan77
@TheBatugan77 6 жыл бұрын
@@jayfeev215 He cheated. No animus here. But he cheated. You can list all the other cheaters in the history of baseball...and I get that. Doesn't change the fact that he cheated. And I have nothing against the guy.
@jayfeev215
@jayfeev215 6 жыл бұрын
@@TheBatugan77 That's fair but there's only three guys who certainly deserve to be in the hall that are not who cheated or jeopardized the integrity of the game Bonds, Clemens and Rose. All of the other cheaters who were good long enough or great are in the hall. My point again is that if he's going to be omitted from the hall, omit the entire era from the hall; don't pick and choose who goes in because of an affinity for that individual.
@jayfeev215
@jayfeev215 5 жыл бұрын
@Barrier Boy The truth is they should both be in, as well as Curt Schilling, as well as Roger Clemens, as well as Rafael Palmiero and all the other players that were great that played before and during this era. People need to stop assuming that everyone in the hall is clean. There is so little information we know about the eras that preceded the ones we watched to know the relative "character" of players that are currently in the hall. Ty Cobb was a nasty/vicious jerk, a racist and was hated by the majority of the people he played with. Gaylord Perry admitted that he doctored the ball often on the mound. I'm sure there are other players who slipped through the cracks that will eventually get in the hall that were "cheaters". I'm sure ARod will get in as well as Big Papi and those two actually failed test. Bonds is not in simply because he would not admit to what they couldn't prove. He never failed a test and he was a dick to the media. The guy was one of 4 people to have 300hr and 300sb before the PEDS and when he become just the second player in MLB history to reach 40-40 two years before the "the summer of 98" no one cared. That summer was the very year he joined the exclusive 400-400 club by himself where he had no equal. At which point he had already been a 3X MVP, 7X Gold Glover, 7X Silver Slugger and had multiple All-star appearances. The guy was on his way to the hall anyway. To deny that fact is asinine. Yes his own hubris drove him to use PEDS to become and even greater version of himself, but the truth is nobody cared that Sosa and McGwire were juicing during that homerun race, not the league officials, not the owners and organizational staffs, not the sports writers (who are current keeping the greatest players in two different generation's out of the hall) and certainly not the fans. Fans only get pissed off when their dreams are shattered and find out what they thought was real was not. They forget how watching the game during those years was the most exciting baseball has been. Look at the game now, baseball is currently the absolute worst version of itself it ever has been (and there is so much talent and untapped potential in the game that's so very sad).
@RealSerie26
@RealSerie26 4 жыл бұрын
The absolute best baseball player in the history of the game. He's the Michael Jordan of baseball. Every single one of his at bats was a thing to see, especially at SBC Park at night with the entire stadium taking pictures of him. He hit a HR at Yankee Stadium and even the Yankees fans got up. The guy rarely struck out; compare him to these fools today.

When Barry Bonds played for the Pirates during the early 1990's, he obviously had MVP stats during the regular season, but, when it came time to demonstrate that talent in the playoffs he would go AWOL! The truest measure of greatness for any professional athlete in his chosen sport is "how did he perform when the stakes were at their highest"! Unfortunately, Barry Bonds would 'shrivel up and die' during the Post Season when his team needed him the most! For that very reason, he'll forever be labeled a "CHOKER" in the eyes of many Pirate fans!

Glad to see lots of Love for this amazing baseball player who should be in the Hall already. When he played I didn't have a favorite team I was just a Barry fan. He literally did it all at an elite level (unfortunately so much in the playoffs) and was such a great hitter with very little line-up protection. All people look at is the homeruns and they don't look deeper at how valuable, devastating and feared as a player. Other than two immature trolls who literally came here just to call him a cheater and type comments like "Steroids", I love the positive vibe and nature of the comments here.

Bobby Lawson Barry Bonds was one of the best players I have ever had the pleasure to follow. I see a lot of people call Barry Bonds (yes he used PEDs, but he never failed a test) and others who played during this era cheaters. The funny thing is that the Hall of Fame is full of cheaters!! Pitchers who doctored the ball, players who stole signs, players who used amphetamines and then prior to the steriod era there was the era of players using other illegal illicit drugs. The truth that people don't want to admit is that this guy was a great, truly gifted, generational baseball talent. Even if he didn't use people would still be giving him the TO treatment saying he was a bad teammate and treated the media like trash. People just don't like him and hate that he wasn't very accessible.

All you people that keep calling him a cheat, remember one thing... You can take all the juice in the world, but you still have to see the ball to hit it... If Steroids supposedly make you superman, why did Barry Bonds have 2100+ singles, doubles, and triples, out of the 2935 career hits on his resume? He had a .298 lifetime batting average... If he was superman, he should have have 1000 home runs by the standards of people who judge from their couches...Call him selfish? He had almost 100 sacrifice flies in his career...

Mr Bonds doesn’t get the credit he deserves. If he had played in a different era, he would have been celebrated nearly universally. Today’s society is so reluctant to give credit where credit is due.
